Who Am I?

Who Am I?
By Dennis Huebshman

Want to get into a real humble mood? Listen to the song, “Who Am I?”. It was written by Rusty Goodman in 1969, and has been recorded by may other artists, including Elvis Presley. There are other variations of this song, but my preference is the one Rusty Goodman wrote.

Today, we are seeing a real “me” movement all around the globe, and it’s not a pretty sight. In Matthew 22:37-40, “Jesus said, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. (38) This is the first and greatest commandment. (39) The second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. (40) All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” (emphasis mine)

Can you just imagine how different this world would be if everyone followed these commandments? Sad part is, we’re in the days Jesus and Paul spoke of that would take place just before the end (wrath), and before our Savior’s return to physically rule and reign for a millennium in Jerusalem. It will only get better when He arrives, and even then, there will be a rebellion at the end of that 1000 years. A very short rebellion.

Satan’s influence is very evident today with all the evil that’s present. Followers of Jesus can see the downward slide that is gaining momentum almost daily. Hate towards anything to do with Christianity isn’t even being covered up. It’s there in plain sight. Satanic worship is on the rise without being challenged. The word of the Lord is being twisted to “fit” what false prophets and antichrists want you to hear.

In many different churches of all denominations, the true word of God is being “watered down” so the congregation won’t be offended by talk of “sin”. Jesus, Paul, John, James, Peter and others spoke of the false prophets that were present in their day. All warned that it would only increase before the Tribulation. For anyone who cannot see this happening, I would hope and pray you will get into the “TRUE” word of the Lord, and become enlightened before it’s too late.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the message about the cross if foolishness to those who are perishing; but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.” Satan knows his time here is getting shorter, and is going into full-throttle mode to recruit followers. He does not know the exact day or hour of when everything will take place, but he has a sense that it’s close, just as we do. His goal is to pull as many souls away from the Lord as possible, and uses every evil enticement possible.

This should be incentive for believers to strengthen our resources in preparation for the Savior’s call to take His Church (believers) Home – Rapture. Every prophecy that need to be completed before this “calling” has been completed. The remaining ones are mostly for the 7-year wrath period.

That period of time will start out with a false 7-year peace plan that will slowly, but surely, disintegrate. At the mid-point, the antichrist will go into the recently-built temple in Jerusalem, and declare himself to be God. All who will not take his mark of loyalty will be put to death when caught. The Jews will be especially hit hard, but a remnant will flee to a place prepared by the Father to be protected until the return of the Savior.

Getting back to the beginning of this message – Who Am I? Looking at what lies ahead, is there anyone who wants to go into this period of Wrath? People will still be able to be saved during the Tribulation, but the cost will be their very lives. Jesus has provided the “escape” plan for us.

Now, looking over my past life, I do not consider myself special, but am very glad I came back to the Lord over 30 years ago. Up to that moment, I would have faced the White Throne if I had died; and would have been in the Tribulation if the Rapture had occurred before my calling out to Jesus.

When I first got all the way through the Bible, and saw what could have been, my thought was – Who Am I? I saw all that would take place for those who reject Jesus, and the outcome is frightening. I have tried to get closer to my Jesus every day, and it’s still hard to fathom that a “King” would leave His place in Glory to provide salvation for a sinner such as I. You notice, I didn’t say “was”, as I still slip and fall, but the difference is His blood covers my sins. He is faithful and just to forgive me. Anyone who hasn’t accepted Jesus, is on their own to face Judgment at the White Throne (Revelation 20:11-15)

For those who say Jesus couldn’t possibly forgive them, or “you don’t know what I’ve done”; Jesus does know what we’ve all done, and will save all who call on Him for forgiveness. (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13) Besides, how many sins did you commit before Jesus was on the Cross? Unless you’re 2000 years old, you committed the same number as me – Zero!

When Jesus came to this earth, His purpose was to save all who would believe in Him, and have faith to believe it was His one sacrifice for all sins for all time. The unforgiveable sin is to not accept Him; and in the Tribulation, all who take the mark of the beast will not be forgiven. He wasn’t forced, but came willingly (John 10:18), and shed His precious, sinless, spotless blood for us. Is there any so-called other deity that can make that claim? And no, all “gods” are not the same. And no, there are not “many ways” to Heaven. Jesus is the only way. (John 14:6)

No matter who you are, no matter what you’ve done, you can turn your life around and have forgiveness from the Creator of this world through His Son, Jesus. It’s a promise, and God does not lie or break promises. He wants all to accept this gift and be saved (2 Peter 3:9), but knows many will reject this offer. (Matthew 7:13-14) Anyone who sins, which is everyone, will still be subject to discipline; however, the sin itself is forgiven – forever.

We are definitely getting close to rising up to meet Our Savior in the air. But to do so, you have to be one of His. Ask Him to forgive you for your sins, and to be your Savior. The Holy Spirit will come to be in you until your death, or the Rapture. Today would not be too early to accept Jesus as we are not guaranteed tomorrow.

Who Am I? To the world, I am nothing, but to My God, My Savior and the Holy Spirit, my soul is valuable. I am not worthy of this great gift, but My Savior gives it to me, and I whole heartedly accept. Thank you My Jesus for loving us all so much!

Thank you Jesus – Maranatha – Come Quickly
