Read The Instructions

Read The Instructions
By Dennis Huebshman

Imagine having a new computer and trying to operate it without ever reading the manual, or whatever instructions that comes with it. How about driving a vehicle without ever taking a Driver Training course? Another point, how about giving a speech on something you have never researched or even heard of? Welcome to the world of people who spout off about Christianity, the Bible, Our Lord and Savior Jesus, Israel and or of course, “Did God Really Say…?” quotes. It makes just about as much sense. By the way, any emphasis in this message is mine.

All the above comes as no surprise to our Heavenly Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit (Trinity). People have tried to explain how it’s possible to have three distinct and equal “persons”, yet all are part of the Whole It’s impossible to thoroughly explain this, and anyone who says they have a complete explanation about the Trinity hasn’t read the manual (Bible). It’s not even totally explained there, and if God wishes, He will enlighten us when we who are saved get Home. This is one of those areas where “God said it, I believe it.” Period.

There is no way anyone here on earth will ever know everything about the entire Bible, yet there’s enough information available so that we can learn how to have eternal life with the Savior, and help others learn this also. There are some who through regular continued study become well versed, but even then, they will learn something new each time they read the scriptures.

Some try to rationalize God’s word to fit their own way of thinking, and are just digging a deeper hole for themselves to fall into. There are those who don’t like some parts of the Bible, so they just read around them. For instance, Hell is a very real place, even though unoccupied at the present (Revelation 19), yet some so-called pastors are either saying it isn’t real, or are preaching all around any reference to it. False Prophets were spoken of over 2000 years ago in the Bible, and today there are more than ever before.

There are religions that say there’s many ways to Heaven without having to accept Jesus. This is no surprise as His own brothers – James, Judas (Jude), Simon and Joseph (Joses) – didn’t believe He was the Messiah until after the Crucifixion and Resurrection. These “religions” are also trying to twist God’s word to say that what He called an abomination is really not what He meant.

Negative statements being made by evangelicals that should know that the Jews and Israel are very special to God, are only showing how much they actually do not know. God made a covenant with Abraham, that passed on to Isaac, Jacob (Israel) and David. This has not changed to this very day, and will be a covenant that lasts forever. The Church has a covenant because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross, but it in no way overrides God’s covenant with His chosen people, or replaces it. God has made a number of covenants, some conditional and some not, and He never has, nor never will, fail to honor His word.

The best way to understand what we need to know in the Bible is to read it as-is; and if something isn’t clear, check other resources such as a good Concordance or Bible Dictionary. However, first and foremost, pray to the Father to provide the knowledge we need to understand His messages. Don’t add anything or take anything away from His Word. This is covered in a real warning in Revelation 22:18-19.

Before continuing here, you must believe the Bible is the inerrant True Word of the Lord God Jehovah, provided through the writings of about 40 Holy Spirit influenced men over a number of centuries. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21) There are a lot of people who do not accept the Bible, and just view it as a book of stories or fancy tales or legends. The problem with their thinking is that secular science has proven, and continues to prove more and more, that the writings are 100% accurate. Not believing in this valuable resource will not make it go away.

Unlike the Quran, the Bible is a book about Love. Unlike any other “religion”, it’s a book about a Creator that truly wants a relationship with us, and we have the means to be assured we will have eternal life with our Savior just for accepting Him. People of Islam and other religions never know if they’ve given enough prayers to allah or whoever, or have done enough works to have paradise. They say they can only hope for this.

Our instruction manual lays it out so we “know” whether or not we have eternal life. A few verses I’ve used numerous times in the past emphasizes this:

-Acts 4:12; “And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.”

-Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13; “And then, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

-John 10:30; “The Father and I are One.”

-John 14:6; “Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”

-Romans 10:9; “…because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

-Romans 8:1; “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

-Ephesians 2:8-9; “For by Grace you are saved through Faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God, (9) it is not from works so that no one can boast.”

-Philippians 2:10-11; “…so that at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow – in Heaven and on earth and under the earth – (11) and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.”

Our relationship with the Heavenly Father is altogether different from any other so-called deity as you can see with the above verses. These are only a few of the ones that tell us how much He loves us and wants us to be with Him forever. The gift He gives has been paid in full by the 2nd member of the Trinity, Jesus the Christ. His blood covered our sins completely with the only perfect sacrifice the Father would ever accept.

God has made it so easy for us to have eternal life. This is one reason it is so hard for an unbeliever to accept and understand. There are those who, being influenced by the ways of the world, don’t believe they can have a gift like this without having to work for it in some way. Go back to Ephesians 2:8-9. When God says it’s a gift, He is absolutely serious about this. He’s insulted when we try to gain Salvation our own way.

And, speaking of Israel, many people show their ignorance when they claim the Jews are illegally “occupying” their land, and are guilty of hideous crimes by acting in self-defense against those poor folks who are trying to kill them. Faux news and many leaders of other countries are reporting Israel is at fault for just about everything. Genesis 12 gives us God’s promise to Abraham that those who honor Israel He will honor; and those who condemn Israel will be condemned. By the way, they’re the only nation on earth who God has guaranteed them a specific land; and to be on it forever.

God is in a sort of “holding pattern” with Israel right now, but the Abrahamic Covenant is in full force. He will give them full attention again as given in Romans 11:25, “For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited; a partial hardening has happened to Israel, (and this is important) until the full number of Gentiles has come in.” Romans 11:29, “For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.”

God knows when the full number of believing Christians is reached, and will then have Jesus call the Church (All Believers) Home (Rapture). After this, and within a very short time, the 7-year Tribulation will begin, and God will focus on all the Jews so that at the end of it, all of them will realize Jesus is their Messiah. Right now, only about 1% to 2% of the Jews world-wide are Messianic, and they will be taken up in the Rapture along with ALL other Believers.

So, now you have the means to understand the basic instructions of how to avoid the Tribulation, and be “Rapture Ready”. The choice is up to you whether or not you believe the Word of God. God will not force you or anyone to do so. Accept His Son, and He will accept you. Just be sincere with wanting a relationship with Him. Your eternity will be so much better than the alternative. There are only 2 choices – Heaven or Hell. No 3rd. option is available.
