Rejoice and Overcome

Rejoice and Overcome
By Dennis Huebshman

Philippians 4:4-9 (ESV), “Rejoice in the Lord always, again, I say rejoice. (5) Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord Is Near. (6) Do not be anxious about anything, instead in every situation through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. (7) And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (8) Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things. (9) And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things, and the God of Peace will be with you.” (emphasis mine)

John 16:33, “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have trouble and suffering, but take courage, I have conquered (overcome) the world.”

Revelation 21:7, “The one who conquers (overcomes) will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My Son.” (includes females)

This world has seen trials and tribulations all throughout history, but the extent we are seeing them now is right out of Matthew 24:5-12 and 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Jesus and Paul told of attitudes and activity that will be here as a sign that the end of this age is close.

The New World Order is doing its best to cause chaos and confusion all over the world, so that people will be ready for a peace plan that “seems perfect”, and will be offered by the one from the first seal judgment. This seal is opened by Jesus and the rider on the white horse is turned loose – the final antichrist. A one-world government and a one-world currency are already being proposed.

Through increased technology as prophesied in Daniel 12:4, we are rapidly giving up our privacy. It says (NKJV), “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many will run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Just the advancements, good or bad, within the past five years have made it possible for us to be “watched” around the clock, everywhere we are, and around the globe.

When the ultimate evil one takes over at the beginning of the 7-year tribulation, technology will already be in place for his organizations to “watch” people everywhere in real-time. When he decides to broadcast, it will be possible for him to be seen all over the world immediately. People will be required to listen and obey him, or suffer consequences. Most will want to follow him as God will have sent them a delusion (2 Thessalonians 2:11).

Before that can take place, a few events must happen to open the world for his reign. One issue is the Ezekiel 38 war, and possibly the destruction of Damascus as given in Isaiah 17:1. Ezekiel 38:4 says, “I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them fully armed, a great company with shields of different types, all of them armed with swords.” Consider the weapons Ezekiel referred to in modern terms, and you have weapons of mass destruction.

For there to even be a possibility of this war taking place, there has to be the coalition of countries (shields of different types), that are listed. In modern day, the main players are Russia, Iran and Turkey along with some other minor countries. As early as just five years ago, it was being reported these countries “individually”, were helping Syria with its civil war. Actually, they were putting themselves right at Israel’s borders. These countries did not have any form of alliance prior to this time, and today they have joined together for their “common cause”. They say it is to protect the Syrian leader, however, it’s obvious there is an underlying “hook” as given in Ezekiel 38, and that is Israel’s great wealth.

The only member of this coalition to say what their true mission is has been Iran (Persia). They have always hated Israel and have been very vocal about their goal to totally exterminate every Jew in the world.

Russia and Turkey are a bit more subtle, but their motives are obvious Both have made statements about Israel being the aggressor, but this is just a “smoke screen” to cover their real ambitions.

What is not being publicized, yet is being monitored by the world markets, is what’s happening financially in all three countries. All of them are having their economies decrease at an alarming rate and they are looking for relief. Guess who’s sitting right there in front of them with a wealth of resources – especially oil and natural gas – and an economy that has never been better; Israel. This would be the major “hook” that is spoken of. It is becoming irresistible to them and making them think Israel would be easy to take over.

It is obvious that God is orchestrating our last days here. Trump was not supposed to win the election, but did. God used this to get formal recognition of Jerusalem as capitol of Israel by the United States. This gave it legitimacy, and would not have been done by the other administration which is evidenced by their past dealings with Israel. Also, various and significant funds have been cut to all three countries due to Trump’s policies, and it’s taking a real toll on them.

Israel has made it known they cannot allow a nuclear Iran, or any build-up of weapons in Syria that can be used against them. They have struck some sites in Syria to destroy some of the threats, and have just made public that they know Iran is trying to build up a nuclear arsenal in its own country to be used against Israel. Russia has suffered some loses by Israeli strikes, and has issued some heavy warnings.

The atmosphere is ripe for a major attack against Israel, however, for the moment the coalition is standing by. I firmly believe God will set it in motion at a time that only He knows.

So, where does “Rejoice and Overcome” apply? Prophecy says there will come one with a 7-year peace plan that the world will accept willingly. For him to come forth, that which is holding him back (Holy Spirit) will have to be taken out of the way. When this happens, All Believers will have to be removed as well. (2 Thessalonians 2:7) We are not destined for wrath, and therefore will not be here for the tribulation. (2 Thessalonians 1:9-10 and numerous others)

Our 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 will happen as we will be taken “up” to meet our Jesus in the air. The dead “in Christ” will rise first, and then those who are still alive will be next. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:52 this will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye. All who are Raptured (taken up) will receive new bodies that will last for all eternity in Heaven. The rapid disappearance of a number of people, possibly 10% of the world population, could just be the spark to set the war in motion.

As believers, we are naturally concerned about all the events taking place. We should not be in despair as we can just about hear the trumpet/shofar and shout to take us Home. Our journey on this earth is just about over. Our concern should be for unsaved loved ones, and hope and pray they will call on the name of the Lord before it’s too late.

We don’t know the day or hour, but we can say we are definitely in the season. Events are gaining speed, and we could be called at any moment of any day. Those who wish to ensure they will not miss the Rapture need to follow Romans 10:9, “confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved.” This means to put your faith and trust and belief in the Creator of the World, that He is honest and truthful (Titus 1:2). He is the only true God, and He is a God of Love (John 3:16-18). He allows you the free-will to choose to accept His Son, or not. Having a relationship with us is important to Him, and He does not want to see us fail. (2 Peter 3:9)

There are only two options: a.) Accept Jesus and you will be saved and spend eternity with Him and all the saints. b.) Deny Jesus and you will get a place in line at the Great White Throne and be cast into the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15). There is no third option even though there are false prophets all around saying there is. Your decision affects your soul for all eternity, and that’s a promise from the Father.

Shalom!
