The Rapture Report – PM’s office: Israel will not agree to any of its neighbors having a nuclear program
By Chris Schang

There are talks and rumors going around that Saudi Arabia might be interested in looking into a civilian nuclear program. Whether that stays a civilian program could not be guaranteed. Just like Iran’s so called civilian nuclear program turned into one that is a nuclear weapons program.

With all the talk over the years about the Abraham Accords and a potential Israel-Saudi Arabia normalization, these types of things just turn up the heat on Israel to make peace.

There seems to be a controversy brewing in Israel over comments made by the Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, who seemed to have hinted that Israel might accept a Saudi nuclear program in exchange for normalization. This was later rejected by Prime Netanyahu’s office.

The Israel National News is reporting:

The Prime Minister’s Office clarified on Sunday that Israel will not agree to any of its neighbors having a nuclear program. The statement of clarification was made after Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer gave an interview to PBS, in which he hinted that Israel would be willing to accept a civilian nuclear program in Saudi Arabia under certain conditions.

In the interview which took place Friday, Dermer drew the distinction between pursuing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and nuclear weapons. “You have countries in the region that can have civilian nuclear power. That’s a different story than a nuclear weapons program,” he said.

Asked whether Israel would agree to Saudi Arabia having “civil nuclear capacity, including enrichment” in exchange for normalization, Dermer replied, “Like so many things, the devil is in the details, and we’re going to have to look at what ultimately is agreed upon.”

“And you’re right. The Saudis have put that, a civilian nuclear program, which you probably are aware of, they — as the signatories of the NPT, they could go to China or they can go to France tomorrow, and they could set up — ask them to set up a civil nuclear program and to allow for domestic enrichment,” he added.

The Prime Minister’s Office quoted Dermer’s comments in the interview in which he stated that Israel did not agree to the nuclear program of any of its neighboring countries. “This was and remains Israel’s policy,” Netanyahu’s office said, adding, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu brought four historic peace agreements that only strengthened the security and status of the State of Israel – and will continue to do so.”

I think one of the reasons that Israel could agree to a nuclear program for Saudi Arabia is to act as a count balance to Iran in the region. There is also talk of trying to grow the Abraham Accords that President Trump started in exchange for Middle East peace.

We all know that peace will not be made in the Middle East until the Lord Jesus Christ returns and rules with an iron rod. Any attempts by Israel to do so will be short in nature and will not result in a lasting peace. We can see an example of this with the deals made over the years with Israel and Turkey that start out well, but end in disaster.

The article at the end mentioned the following:

Last week, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States and Saudi Arabia have agreed on the broad outlines of a deal for Saudi Arabia to recognize Israel in exchange for concessions to the Palestinian Arabs.

According to the report, the officials expressed cautious optimism that, in the next nine to 12 months, they can straighten out the deal’s finer details. But they warn that they face long odds.

I can’t help but be reminded of the scriptures verses that mention that when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction comes upon them.

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:3

Folks, it’s not going to be long now. Things are ramping up for the end times. From the digital currencies that can track all buying and selling to the Iranian nuclear program to the rise of the Kings of the East, we are seeing the end times come into view with stunning accuracy and clarity as foretold by God and the Bible.

Jesus is coming soon! Keep looking up!!

God bless you.
