The Rapture Report – Iran Strikes Israel in Retaliation for Damascus Attack
By Chris
Yesterday evening, the world received word that Iran had finally retaliated for the recent suspected Israeli air strike in Syria. Iran sent what was estimated to be around 200 to 300 drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles to attack Israel.
The attack on Israel was the result of Israel’s recent successful strike in Damascus on the Iranian embassy compound. The strike kills about 7 important Iranian military members including Iranian general Mohammad Reza Zahedi.
The Jerusalem Post is reporting:
The Coalition Council of Islamic Revolution Forces –an organization with close links to Iran’s Supreme Leader— on Wednesday praised the late Iranian general Mohammad Reza Zahedi for his crucial role in the mass murder of 1,200 people in southern Israel.
Iran International reported that Coalition Council of Islamic Revolution Forces (also known by its Persian acronym SHANA) honored Zahedi’s “strategic role in forming and strengthening the resistance front as well as in planning and executing the Al-Aqsa Storm.” Hamas called its mass rapes of Israelis and slaughter of 1,200 people “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm.”
Israelis across the country retreated to their bomb shelters in anticipation of the coming strikes from Iran. It is reported that around 99% of the drone and missile strikes against Israel were stopped before they even reached Israeli airspace.
The Jerusalem Post reports:
At 7:15 a.m. IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen. Daniel Hagari said that 99% of the aerial threats were shot down, which he said was a strategic achievement. Zero of the close to 200 drones and zero of the 30 cruise missiles got through to Israeli territory at all. 25 of the 30 cruise missiles were shot down by Israel. Of 130 ballistic missiles, only a small number got through.
Today, we are hearing that the US, UK, Jordan and France participated in helping Israel stop this attack.
According to the Israel National News website:
“Together with our partners, the Israel Defense Forces is operating at full-force to defend the State of Israel and the people of Israel. This is a mission that we are determined and ready to fulfill.”
“We are operating in close cooperation with the U.S and our partners in the region to counter the launches and intercept them. We have several layers of protection from the Israeli Air Force and Navy as well as additional layers of protection from the U.S. military. We have an excellent Aerial Defense Array which is fully operational but remember – the defense is not hermetic. Therefore, it is crucial to adhere to the guidelines and follow the orders of the Home Front Command – they save lives.”
It is being reported that the attacks came from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, and Syria. The IDF spokesman, General Daniel Hagari, said that they attacks were a dangerous escalation in the ongoing situation with Iran.
It is being reported that MK and former IDF General Gantz is saying that Israel will not respond immediately to the Iranian attack, but that they will respond at a time and manner of their choosing.
The Jerusalem Post also reports:
Minister-without-portfolio and member of Israel’s war cabinet, MK Benny Gantz, insinuated in a video statement that Israel would not respond immediately with an attack against Iran.
“Facing Iran, we will build a regional coalition and may Iran pay the price, in a manner and time that is correct for us,” Gantz said. Gantz called the results a “strategic achievement” which Israel must “leverage” for its national security.
The Iranian attack on Israel is an ongoing situation and we will continue to provide updates and commentary as we are able to do so.
Please pray for Israel, the IDF, and for the Peace of Jerusalem.
