The Rapture Report – India becomes fourth country to land on the moon with Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft

Earlier today, India announced that it had successfully landed a spacecraft on the surface of the moon. After failing to land a spacecraft on the moon back in 2019 due to a software issue, they were finally successful today.

The CNBC website reported:

India staked new claim as a national superpower in space on Wednesday, landing its Chandrayaan-3 mission safely on the moon’s unexplored south pole. The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft launched last month and touched down on the lunar surface around 8:34 a.m. ET.

The feat makes India the fourth country to land on the moon, and the first to land on one of the moon’s lunar poles. Previously, Russia (then the Soviet Union), the U.S. and China landed spacecraft successfully on the moon.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tuned in to the livestream of the landing from Johannesburg, where he is attending the 15th annual BRICS summit of emerging markets.

“All the people of the world, the people of every country and region: India’s successful moon mission is not just India’s alone … this success belongs to all of humanity,” Modi said, speaking on the Indian Space Research Organization webcast of the event. “We can all aspire for the moon, and beyond,” Modi added.

Days before Chandrayaan-3′s landing, Russia attempted to land its first spacecraft on the moon in almost 50 years. But the Luna-25 mission smashed into the lunar surface on Saturday, with Russian space agency Roscosmos confirming the spacecraft spun of control.

The article went on to talk about how Indians done more with less after partnering with NASA recently. NASA and ISRO will partner to help take the first India astronauts to space in the future as well.

Finally…

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson congratulated ISRO on the successful landing in a post on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, adding, “We’re glad to be your partner on this mission!”

While India’s success at landing on the moon is a happy moment for the country, I can’t help but think about the fact that well over 1 billion plus people in India are following Hinduism and do not know the Lord Jesus Christ.

I would like to ask readers of The Rapture Report to pray for people in India as the truth is that in the end it will not matter if you made it to the moon or not. The real thing that matters is whether you made it to Heaven or not. If someone does not believe and trust in Jesus Christ’s work on the Cross and the payment of the sin debt when they die, that person is lost for eternity.

It is our desire at Rapture Forums that the Indian people come to the loving and saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have read many articles and reports coming out of India where Christians are regularly persecuted for their faith. This is not just from Hindus, but from Muslims as well. Please pray for the persecuted Christians in India. They need and deserve our support.

While man is constantly making advances in technology and science, I tend to see this at times as being a barrier to God. Many people are obsessed with the latest gadget, TV, social media, etc. and yet fail to do the one thing that God requires of us on this earth. What is that one thing?

“Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” – John 6:28-29.

Folks, in the end this is the only thing that matters. Please pray for the Indian people and for all the unsaved in the world. God has made salvation open to anyone who will listen to John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is further confirmed in John 10:9 when the Bible says:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The rise in technology and science is just one more sign of the end times. We are getting closer and closer until the Lord Jesus return for the church in the rapture. He will return later at the Second Coming.
