The Rapture Report – 03/24/2018 – Is Abbas’ Time About Up?

As many of you know there have been numerous rumors swirling around about the health status of PA President Mahmoud Abbas. When Abbas was in the U.S. recently to give a blistering speech at the UN about the Trump Declaration of Jerusalem in December 2017, it was reported that he made a stop at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and had some “routine” tests run on him. Of course, Abbas and the PA announced afterwards that the test came back fine and that all was well.

However, it was reported this week that there may be more than meets the eye on Abbas’ medical visit to Johns Hopkins. It is being reported in the Jerusalem Post that the PA has hired a cardiology specialist to work with Abbas to monitor his health. The Jerusalem Post article reports:

“A cardiologist was recently added to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s staff to monitor his health, a Palestinian source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.

The heart specialist, a German-Palestinian, has been working at the PA presidential headquarters in Ramallah alongside Abbas’s longtime personal doctor for approximately the past month, the source said in a phone call. The Associated Press first reported that the cardiologist was added to Abbas’s staff.

The addition of a cardiologist to Abbas’s staff comes after the 82-year-old leader underwent medical checks last month at a hospital in the United States. Abbas told official PA television that he received “positive and reassuring” results for the checks, without elaborating.

Senior Fatah official Jabril Rajoub told official PA television on March 10 that the checks involved a biopsy. Rajoub said the results of the biopsy show Abbas is healthy.

Biopsies are typically performed to analyze possible abnormalities that appear on x-rays or scans, according to a US-based radiologist.

In October 2016, Abbas underwent a cardiac catheterization – a procedure used to diagnose and treat heart problems, which doctors said showed normal results.”

As we can see Abbas has a history of medical problems relating to his heart. I would tend to think and guess that since the Trump Declaration over Jerusalem, that Abbas has been under quite a bit of stress lately. With all the bridge-burning and fiery speeches that Abbas has done lately, I’m sure his blood pressure is at an all-time high. With Abbas at the ripe old age of 82 years old, it is not hard to see why his blood pressure and other vitals could be of concern.

Further, Abbas has made some comments to the effect that he would not end his life being a traitor to the Palestinian cause. This makes me wonder if Abbas senses that the end could be near? With no known successor announced to take his place in such event than he were to suddenly pass away, there seems to be a lot of unfinished business that he needs to take care of in the near future.

I believe that the stress of the job since the Trump Declaration has taken its toll on Abbas. It seems to coincide very closely to Trump’s actions back in December. I tend to think that this is something that we should keep an eye on for clues that may appear in the newspapers in the near future. As we saw with Arafat, the PA was very tight lipped about what was going on during Arafat’s last days. I tend to think there is a lot more to this situation than what they are telling.

The reason this could be important is that with no announced successor, we could find the PA in a power struggle within itself or perhaps Hamas could try another bloody coup similar to what occurred when they took over the Gaza strip in 2007. While it is possible Abbas could live another 10 years or more, I think we should really watch for more news reports in the future about his health. It could be that major changes could be in store for the PA when we least expect it.

With all that is happening in Israel and the Middle East, we need to always keep looking up for our redemption is drawing nigh!

God bless.
