Target Policy: The Attacks on Children Keep Coming

Target Policy: The Attacks on Children Keep Coming
By Tim Wildmon

Ross Township police in Pennsylvania are investigating a report of a man lurking around the local Target store’s dressing rooms, suspected of taking pictures of an underage girl who was trying on clothes. Target’s dressing rooms are located in the back, right corner of the store and are open to everyone.

A 13-year-old girl was trying on clothes in one of the dressing rooms when she said a man came by, held his cell phone up over the wall, and began taking pictures. The girl saw the camera flash in the mirror and notified her mother.

The man got away, which means Target’s dangerous policy will allow him to return to repeat his crime on another day.

Women who shop at this particular Target store told WPXI news that someone sneaking pictures just isn’t something they’ve ever worried about…until now. One customer said, “It’s like you go into the store, and you’re just shopping for clothes. It’s like you just assume that it’s safe.”

AFA continues to sound the alarm that Target’s policy of allowing men to enter women’s dressing areas and restrooms puts women and underage girls in danger.

There are still people you know who are unfamiliar with Target’s dangerous policy. Will you help spread the warning and let your family and friends know about the Target boycott? Here are 3 things you can do right now:

1. Forward this information to friends and family. Invite them to sign the boycott pledge at www.afa.net/target.
2. Call Target headquarters at 612-304-6073 and personally let them know you are boycotting its stores.
3. Voice your concerns on Target’s Facebook page.
