Kavanaugh Accuser, Where Are the Details?

Some say the Devil is in the details. But, in reality, the truth is in the details.
Concerning the accusations made by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court Justice Nominee Brett Kavanaugh, the details are few. Several possibilities are plausible in discerning the reasons for the lack of clarity:
– She was sloppy drunk and is unable to remember details of the incident she shared with her therapist: where the party was, what year it was, how she got there, or how she got home. The likelihood of her remembering any other details accurately are fairly slim. Were there two or four guys involved in the alleged assault? Who knows? Under these circumstances, it would be irresponsible to trust in her ability to accurately recall anything from that evening – including the identities of those she claims assaulted her.
– She remembers more details than she says she does but has fabricated the part about who the perpetrators were, and can, therefore, not provide details that would prove the accusation untrue.
– The entire thing is made up. Yes, it is entirely possible.
When a person experiences something traumatic, he or she remembers the details surrounding the event. That’s why we can all remember what we were doing when we learned of the 9/11 tragedy.
That’s why Penny Nance, President of Concerned Women for America remembers the details surrounding an attempted sexual assault on her:
“Two decades ago, while pregnant with my first child,” she said, “I was running in Northern Virginia when I was attacked by a man much larger and stronger than myself. I survived the attempted rape — but I’ll never forget it, in fact, I remember every detail all these years later.”
That’s why Jane from Oregon called to share her story on AFR’s Hamilton Corner earlier this week:

Jane: This is a little bit personal, but I think it’s assentient. I was the victim of an attempted rape in 1966. I am 73 years old. That was 52 years ago. And I remember everything in detail. It was a cloudy day. I was down in [a specific location]. It was about 11 o’clock in the morning. It was on the left side of the pier. There was some building going on across the road from the pier – I don’t remember if it was houses or commercial property or not. The attacker had curly blond hair. He was about 5’9”, 5’10”. He was wearing a winter jacket, a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and construction boots, or quite possibly military boots that he didn’t tie all the way to the top. Now, that’s a lot of detail, and I can continue. … My point is that you do not forget anything about something like this.
Hamilton: So I’m going to go out on a limb here, Jane, and I’m going to say that you don’t believe Dr. Ford. Am I right about that?
Jane: Ha, ha! Not a chance! Not a chance! She would remember everything! She didn’t forget where it is.
I realize it is politically incorrect to suggest a woman could possibly be lying about a sexual assault. As of this writing, even President Trump has refrained from going to Twitter with his heartfelt opinions on the matter.
Concerning Ford’s opportunity to testify, the president simply stated: “If she shows up, that would be wonderful. If she doesn’t show up, that would be unfortunate.”
Meanwhile, Democrats have gone on the attack when it comes to a woman who claims to have experienced domestic abuse at the hands of U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, (D-MN). Though Karen Monahan posted a medical record from November 28, 2017, on social media which clearly identified Ellison as the offender in a long, abusive relationship, she said the post was repeatedly deleted and that she has received no support from the Democratic Party – quite the opposite.
She wrote in response to a Twitter post posing the question: “Democrats say they believe women. Do they believe you?”
We can only surmise that Democrats are pretending to care. Though Monahan specifically said she feared retribution if she identified Ellison publically, she has been left to fend for herself. By her account, she’s been smeared, threatened, and isolated by the Democrat Party.
I suppose there is no political advantage to be secured by rising up to defend Monahan while publically disgracing their Democrat Congressman.
