Karen Pence’s Faith Under Attack
By Rob Chambers

America’s Second Lady Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, and Immanuel Bible Church in Virginia are under attack by sexual-deviancy advocacy groups. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and others are attacking the deeply held religious beliefs of both Mrs. Pence and the church’s ministry— Immanuel Christian School.

AFA will be sending a letter of encouragement to the Second Lady and the church’s school. We invite you to join us by signing on to the letter. Together, we will encourage Mrs. Pence and Immanuel Christian School to stand firm on the biblical principles that form the school’s standard for employment policy. Sign the letter here.

Mrs. Pence recently accepted a part-time job teaching art at the K-10 school. Radical liberals hate the fact that Second Lady Pence chose to teach at a school having an employment policy based on the biblical standard “that the term ‘marriage’ has only one meaning; the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive covenant union as delineated in Scripture.”

Radical liberals further despise the church’s position on biblical sexuality that states:

“Moral misconduct which violates the bona fide occupational qualifications for employees includes, but is not limited to, such behaviors as the following: heterosexual activity outside of marriage (e.g., premarital sex, cohabitation, extramarital sex), homosexual or lesbian sexual activity, polygamy, transgender identity, any other violation of the unique roles of male and female, sexual harassment, use or viewing of pornographic material or websites, and sexual abuse or improprieties toward minors as defined by Scripture and federal or state law.”

The HRC and ACLU sent out these two tweets attacking Mrs. Pence and the school.

AFA President Tim Wildmon said, “Do we want to live in a country where Christians who hold to biblical teachings on sexuality and marriage are harassed and hounded, or counted as illegitimate government servants or school teachers? The ACLU and HRC should remember that all people are legitimate citizens – not just those that toe the liberal line.”

These radical secularists do not believe any individual having connections to government, like Mrs. Pence, has the right to teach in accordance with their Christian faith.
