Democrats Wanted to Use the Troops to Intimidate Americans, Now Soldiers May Die
By Daniel Greenfield

The Democrats spent the last 4 years claiming that America was descending into fascism. And then they tried for the real deal by taking power surrounded by soldiers and barbed wire.

The Secret Service designated green and red zones. Some 25,000 National Guard members were dispatched from Vermont, Maine, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Arkansas, Missouri, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Colorado to prepare for a fake invasion that never came. But the armored vehicles and heavy weaponry did come. President Trump had wanted a military parade that would show America’s strength to the world. Biden held his own military parade to intimidate his fellow Americans.

D.C. had become a Baghdad and Berlin of checkpoints, choking off access to much of the city, closing roads, bridges, and metro stations. Soldiers could be seen on every corner, and the 25,000 troops were bolstered by 4,000 Marshalls, and a motley crew of local forces, including 200 members of the NYPD, 40 members of the Chicago police, New Jersey and Maryland state troopers, Miami-Dade cops, and other law enforcement officers who were needed back home.

The creepy fascist display was a serious blow to America. And the Democrats, who have nothing but contempt for the military, treated the troops they were using to intimidate Americans, like garbage.

“Yesterday dozens of senators and congressman walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed.”

After all the photos of troops sleeping on the floor in the Capitol, they were relegated to parking garages where they wouldn’t be an embarrassment or trigger members of the ‘squad’.

The problem was compounded on Thursday night, when thousands of troops who had been standing duty in the U.S. Capitol were told to vacate congressional buildings and take their rest breaks outside and in nearby parking garages. POLITICO obtained photos of Guard members packed together and sleeping on the ground in the garages. One unit was forced to rest in a garage with only one bathroom available for 5,000 troops.

And now it’s on to the coronavirus.

The National Guard has struggled to implement a plan to test troops flowing into and out of Washington, D.C., for Covid-19, with some Guard members being forced to find their own tests and others pressured to leave their quarantine early to report to duty.

Already, hundreds of Guard members who poured into Washington, D.C., after the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol have tested positive for Covid-19 or are quarantining in nearby hotels, three Guard sources said. Guard leadership has declined to release an official number of positive cases, but troops and lawmakers alike worry that the deployment is becoming a superspreader event.

“Ideally, these guys should all be in hotels. When they’re taking rest time, they should be taking it outside the campus with an ability to be separated and socially distanced,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said. “Ultimately we’ve got to make sure that they’re not taking their extended rest time on campus, that they’re in hotel rooms.”

Guard members say virus countermeasures were unevenly implemented. On arrival in Washington, D.C., several units were only given temperature checks and asked about any possible Covid-19 exposure, two Guard members told POLITICO. One Washington, D.C., Guard member said he and others were forced to get their own Covid-19 test. Others who were exposed to the virus said they had been told to disregard their quarantine or cut it short and report for duty due to the urgent need for additional troops in the days leading up to the Inauguration.

If only the Democrats had cared about the spread of the virus among soldiers as they do among their voting base of prison inmates.

And the big picture is that, despite the media propaganda, none of this was needed. Certainly, 25,000 soldiers were not remotely required for anything except a show of force meant to prop up the manufactured crisis invented by the Democrats.

If they had kept the Guard numbers to the number used to deal with the Black Lives Matter racist riots, the existing facilities would have sufficed. But the Democrats wanted a huge show of force and their fascist theater may end up costing the lives of American soldiers.

Not that Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer give a damn.
