Democratic Debate Pro-abortion Hypocrisy
By Anne Reed
I could hardly believe my ears. Did former Vice President Joe Biden just say 150 million people have died in gun violence since 2007?
I looked at the faces of the other presidential candidates on the debate stage. I saw no puzzled expressions. Not one spoke up and “debated” the pathetically inaccurate statement.
Wouldn’t we have noticed if nearly half the U.S. population had been violently killed in the last 13 years? The fact that not one of the moderators or presidential candidates questioned or corrected his statement is baffling…or telling.
No, Joe, 150 million Americans have not been killed since 2007 due to gun violence. But I guess if you say it with enough heated enthusiasm, people will believe it.
But since we’re talking in the millions, let’s talk about a factual number – one that was not discussed last night. Nearly 62 million innocent babies have died in the last 47 years.
But we all know the democratic presidential candidates standing on that stage last night have no compassion for these lives – the only collective number of violent deaths that comes remotely close to Biden’s insanely inflated number.
But Biden and the others on that stage don’t care about innocent babies killed in their mother’s wombs. They care very much about ensuring women have the right to kill them though.
The irony is something to behold. Sen. Elizabeth Warren used the term “anti-choice” last night in a derogatory manner. Yet, she took great offense to what she claimed Mayor Michael Bloomberg said to a pregnant employee.
She spoke about a time in her early twenties as a teacher when she said she experienced what she called “pregnancy discrimination.” Of course, she used it as an opportunity to push for unions and federal law protecting pregnant women.
“At least I didn’t have a boss who said to me, ‘kill it’ the way Mayor Bloomberg alleged to have said to one of his pregnant employees!” she said with a dramatic display of repugnant anger.
What irony! What inconsistency! This is the same woman whose position concerning the killing of an unborn child in the womb is such that she repeatedly compared an abortion to having one’s tonsils removed. So-called fact checkers rushed to defend her, but their arguments failed.
The hypocrisy is astounding. The question here is less about Bloomberg and what she claims he said. The question is, what is “it?” Kill what?
Why is it the Democratic leaders see themselves as lofty, compassionate human beings by enacting laws that give mothers the ability to say “kill it” to a so-called doctor who can legally follow through with it? But yet, it’s appalling for someone else to suggest it.
Just this week, all but two U.S. Democratic Senators voted against a bill to protect babies in the womb after 20 weeks gestation.
And another bill intended to protect babies that survive an abortion was also blocked by the Democrats. And only three democrats failed to cast a vote at all: Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT), and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). But don’t think that means they are neutral or moderate on this issue. All three voted against a similar bill just last year.
Make no mistake. The phrase “kill it” is really not offensive to Warren or the other Democratic hopefuls. The fact is every one of the candidates standing on that stage agrees that women should have the right to legally kill babies up to the moment of birth. And that you, the taxpayer, should be paying to “kill it!”
The blood of 62 million babies is not yet enough for them.
