Converse “Proud” of Child Exploitation
By Anne Reed
A little boy partially strips and dances provocatively in a blonde wig and midriff bearing crop top at a gay night club while men dangle dollar bills in front of him.
Along with five other individuals described by Converse as “connected to the LGBTQ+ community,” the boy is being used to promote the Converse “Pride Collection.” And when I say “used,” I mean “used.”
The popular shoe company promotes this type of behavior under the guise of “spread the love.” On its website, Converse, owned by NIKE, says it “is committed to supporting movements for positive social change and amplifying youth voices as they spark progress to build the future they believe in.” (Emphasis added.)
Eleven-year-old Desmond Napoles describes himself as a gay “drag kid.” His parents allow him to be exploited. His mom, however, says she is simply encouraging him to do what he loves – just like parents who encourage their children to participate in sports.
This comes at a time when children are being bombarded with the idea that they have the right to control their “sexuality.” For instance, “Teen Vogue” published an Op-ed titled “Why Sex is Real Work” last week attempting to glamorize prostitution.
When minors are lured into “prostitution,” it is called “human trafficking.” A child cannot technically be a “prostitute.” And when an adult has sex with an underage person (child), it’s called rape, or pedophilia. For the magazine to promote “sex work” among its young and vulnerable readership is incomprehensible.
According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, “Traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to lure their victims and force them into labor or commercial sexual exploitation. They look for people who are susceptible for a variety of reasons, including psychological or emotional vulnerability, economic hardship, lack of a social safety net, natural disasters, or political instability.”
By nature, children are some of the most vulnerable human beings in our midst. They trust adults to wisely and sacrificially guide them. Rather, some adults choose to exploit innocent children for their own selfish gain – money, attention, etc. The prevalence of using children to promote an agenda of sexual perversion seems to be ever widening.
“Drag queen story hours,” for example, are happening all over the world at libraries, schools, bookstores, museums, summer camps, after-school programs, and other community spaces. The conservative, pro-family group MassResistance recently discovered that two men participating in drag queen story hour events in a Houston, Texas, public library are registered sex offenders.
One was found guilty in 2008 of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy. And the other was convicted of sex crimes against four young children (ranging in age from 4-8) and is listed as a “high-risk sex offender.”
This second man brags online about working as a transgender prostitute and has been photographed at a drag queen story hour event carrying a rubber chicken – a symbol among homosexuals to indicate sexual preference for young boys.
And this was the man (dressed in drag) brought in by the city of Houston to greet the children entering the library who might be “frightened” by the pro-family individuals who were outside alerting parents and protesting because of their concern for children.
Talk about replacing evil for good and good for evil!
Children are being sacrificed at the altar of the sexual “whateverism” agenda – no matter how abusive or distorted the behavior!
But the perversion is camouflaged in flowery, manipulative words, like those of Converse … terms like “sparking progress” and “supporting positive social change.” It’s all a lie – heartbreakingly cruel deception from which our children must be protected.
Pray for Desmond. He is but one example of the exploited among us.
