Cartoon Network Is All In with the LGBTQ Agenda

Alerting all parents! Cartoon Network is celebrating LGBTQ pride month by using one of its extremely popular shows to encourage children to “stand proud.” As most are aware, LGBTQ activists have designated June as “pride month” to celebrate alternative sexual lifestyles and gender identities. Cartoon Network tweeted last week celebrating the movement: “We want to wish everyone a HAPPY PRIDE and encourage all of our LGBTQ+ fans to stand proud all year long!”
The network, which is owned by Warner Bros., tweeted along with emojis representing a rainbow flag, a heart, and a unicorn. The tweet also included a picture of characters from its popular show Powerpuff Girls and the hashtags “#pride,” “#happypride,” “#powerpuffyourself,” “#pridemonth,” and “#powerpuffgirls.”
However, Twitter is not the only place where Cartoon Network is promoting LGBTQ pride. Cartoon Network is also doing so through its online store and some of its cartoon characters.
Last year, it is believed that Cartoon Network’s animated show Steven Universe became the first children’s show to feature a same-sex wedding proposal. The proposal was between female characters named Sapphire and Ruby.
Additionally, Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time series aired a scene in its series finale last year that showed two female characters kissing each other on the lips. The scene confirmed years of speculation that the two were lesbians.
Cartoon Network claims to be “the best in original, acquired, and classic entertainment for youth and families.” However, many parents would disagree with the network pushing an agenda that contradicts their own beliefs on sexuality and marriage.
Another warning for all parents:
On a side note, but definitely worth mentioning, after nearly a decade, the popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic animated series is coming to an end. In the upcoming episode, “The Last Crusade,” written by Nicole Dubuc, set to debut this Saturday, June 15, at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Discovery Family. It has already aired overseas. The long-absent parents of the young pegasus Scootaloo are at last introduced, finally answering a longstanding plot point that left many wondering. But that’s not the only significance of the episode. Early in the story, Scootaloo and her friends, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, known collectively as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, meet with Scootaloo’s current caretakers, Aunt Holiday and Auntie Lofty.
It soon becomes evident that Holiday and Lofty are not siblings or even in-laws but in fact a romantic lesbian couple. In case there’s any doubt, Michael Vogel, a writer/producer for MLP and former vice president of development for Hasbro, confirmed their relationship via Twitter: “When I say ‘cute couple,’ I’m saying that Aunt Holiday and Auntie Lofty are a cute couple. Yes.”
