At NATO, Biden Wants to Fight Conservatives, Not Putin
By Daniel Greenfield
Biden’s big international trip ultimately proved to be about partisan Democrat politics.
He touted an international economic program that used his Build Back Better campaign slogan and at NATO, announced that he had devastated that infamous terrorist group…the Republicans.
“The leadership of the Republican Party is fractured and the Trump wing of the party is the bulk of the party, but it makes up a significant minority of the American people,” Biden told a news conference in Brussels after a NATO summit.
“I think it’s appropriate to say that the Republican Party is vastly diminished in numbers,” Biden, a Democrat, said without offering evidence for the assertion.
This was at a NATO press conference. Biden is using the kind of language to describe the opposition party that Obama would have used to describe Al Qaeda.
His response came at a NATO press conference on Monday where he was asked how he’s been able to reassure allies that the U.S. will be a reliable and stable partner moving forward, especially given the violence of Jan. 6 and Trump’s continued hold on the Republican Party.
Compare Biden’s 5-minute rant against Republicans, at an international leadership event, to his evasive response when asked to criticize Vladimir Putin. The only time Democrats attack Russia is when they’re using it as a proxy for attacks on their domestic opposition.
The only enemy Biden and Democrats want to fight are conservatives.
