Angela Merkel’s Poster Child for Immigration Wants to Destroy Israel
Oh, what heroes leftists find.
By Hugh Fitzgerald

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who in 2015 threw open wide the doors of her country to a million Muslim migrants, under the slogan “Wir schaffen das” (“We Can Do This”), because she was sure that they would be a boon to Germany, at the time famously comforted a “refugee” girl in a video that went viral. That girl was 14-year-old Reem Sahwil, a Palestinian who with her family had. been temporarily admitted to Germany. She was chosen to take part in a discussion between Merkel and a group of “asylum seekers” — really, Muslim economic migrants — and when Merkel said that not everyone who applied for asylum would be granted that status, Reem Sahwil burst into tears. Merkel attempted clumsily to comfort her, patting her on the back, and the video of that entire encounter went viral. The girl’s sobbing had the intended effect, and she and her family were as a result granted residency permits. She was subsequently held up as a “model migrant” who had quickly learned to speak German, and was doing well in school — a Muslim migrant success story. However, there is more to her story than that: Sahwil brought with her to Germany, undeclared in her mental baggage, a virulent antisemitism that has just now been exposed. More on her story can be found here: “Incredible: Merkel’s refugee girl Reem wants to wipe out Israel!,” translated from “Unfassbar: Merkels Flüchtlingsmädchen Reem will Israel auslöschen!,” NiUS, November 5, 2023 (thanks to Medforth):

She cried in front of the Chancellor and was comforted by her – that’s what made the refugee girl Reems Sahwil famous.

Now the girl with the bushy eyebrows is shocking people with her blatant hatred of Israel!

Reem Sahwil arrived with her parents from the Palestinian territories. She lives in Germany.

During a discussion round with the then German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2015, she began to cry when Merkel spoke about the repatriation of rejected asylum seekers. The whole of Germany sympathised with the girl, who “speaks German so well.”

After being granted temporary toleration [residence], she received a German passport in 2022. Reem Sahwil has what she always dreamed of.

One year later, she shows her true colours – she wants Israel to be wiped out!

Her Instagram profile is sheer anti-Semitism!

The profile picture on her Instagram account shows a person waving the Palestinian flag within the borders of Israel. A clear statement against Israel in these times.

That Instagram image showing the Palestinian flag waving over Israel is the equivalent of shouting “From the river to the sea/Palestine shall be free” — that is, the Jewish state must be destroyed and replaced by a twenty-third Arab one.

INCREDIBLE!!!

She is a prime example of how people who are actually seeking protection and a future home in Germany openly show their hatred of Israel in Germany.

It was not really “protection” that the Sawhil family mainly sought — they were not escaping war or persecution in the West Bank — but rather, the ability to batten on all the many benefits that the German state provides, including free or highly subsidized housing, free medical care, free education, unemployment benefits for the father (without having had an employment history in Germany), family allowances, and more.

In view of the tensions caused by the war in Gaza, CDU leader Friedrich Merz has called on the coalition government to stop its planned reform of citizenship law.

The war in Gaza has led to anti-Israel demonstrations in Germany led by, and consisting mainly of, Muslim migrants, who chant anti-Israel slogans — “from the river to the sea/Palestine shall be free.” Some of those Muslims also shout in Arabic “Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud, jaish Muhammad soufa ya’oud.” This translates to “Khaybar Khaybar oh Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.” This is a reference to Muhammad’s murderous assault on the harmless Jewish farmers of the Khaybar Oasis in 628 A.D., when the Jewish men were killed and the women taken as sex slaves.

Merz believes these chants are one more worrying sign that Muslim migrants, far from integrating successfully into German society, are carriers of antisemitism which, for obvious historical reasons, is of great concern to thoughtful Germans.

The possibility of naturalization after just three years instead of the current minimum of five years is “absurd” in view of the current situation, Merz said on the TV programme “Bericht aus Berlin” on Sunday.

Merz believes these anti-Israel protesters, Muslims and non-Muslim willing collaborators, with their anti-Israel and antisemitic chants, are one more worrying sign that Muslim migrants, far from integrating successfully into German society, are carriers of a virulent antisemitism which, for obvious historical reasons, is of great concern to thoughtful Germans. A proposal to grant migrants citizenship after three years, rather than the current five, would lead to Muslim migrants more quickly becoming citizens, the window for possible deportation shortened by 40%. What’s more, such a reduction from five to three years to obtain citizenship would increase more quickly the number of Muslim voters, who will naturally vote for parties that encourage, rather than attempt to limit, immigration by their fellow Muslims.

“With regard to proposals to make a written commitment to Israel’s right to exist a prerequisite for naturalisation, Merz went on to say that it was impossible to prevent this from ultimately being signed as a formality. “That’s why we need to take a closer look at who is to be naturalised in the Federal Republic of Germany,” demanded the opposition leader.

Some in Germany have suggested that those wishing to obtain citizenship should be asked to commit in writing to supporting Israel’s right to exist. Merz sees this as a ridiculous requirement; Muslims will, of course, agree to complying with such a demand, knowing full well they don’t mean it. They are allowed to lie — to practice taqiyya — in order to protect both the faith of Islam, and the wellbeing of Believers. That wellbeing would include obtaining citizenship in the countries of Western Europe.

In Reem’s case, the whole of Germany was watching, but she is still showing her hatred of Israel.

What a disgrace!

And now what will happen to the former poster child in Germany for Muslim immigrants, Reem Sawhil, who has exposed herself as a hater of Israel who wishes the Jewish state to disappear? She became a citizen in 2022. She has expressed on Instagram her ardent wish to see Israel be destroyed. For obvious historical reasons, Germany recognizes it has a special duty of protecting the Jewish people and supporting the Jewish state. Can Reem Sawhil be stripped of her citizenship and deported? Merkel got Germany into this Muslim migrant mess, beginning in 2015, and it will take Allice Weider, the mediagenic and articulate co-founder of the AfD, to help get it out, beginning with a total ban on immigration from Muslim countries.. As for Reem Sawhil, her exposure as an antisemite should make it harder for her to find employment in Germany. As a result, she may end up leaving Germany to find work elsewhere, most likely in the Gulf states, where Arabic-speaking guest workers are in high demand. That, after all, is where she belongs, instead of among those German Infidels who are “the most vile of created beings.” Let us hope.
