8-Year-Old Boy Faces Islamic Sharia Death Penalty for Blasphemy in Pakistan

Whether or not the Taliban take over Afghanistan, their Islamist patrons have been running Pakistan for quite a while.
In Pakistan, being non-Muslim is dangerous and can lead to blasphemy charges over the most ridiculous things, like a little boy misbehaving.
Pakistan has booked an eight year old Hindu boy under charges of blasphemy, a draconian law that can warrant the death penalty for the accused. He was charged for the crime after he was accused to have urinated on the carpet of a Madarsa.
The boy has been taken into ‘protective custody’ following the incident and he had spent a week in jail before receiving bail. His family have gone into hiding following retribution. A member of the family told The Guardian from an undisclosed location, “He [the boy] is not even aware of such blasphemy issues and he has been falsely indulged in these matters. He still doesn’t understand what his crime was and why he was kept in jail for a week.”
“We have left our shops and work, the entire community is scared and we fear backlash. We don’t want to return to this area. We don’t see any concrete and meaningful action will be taken against the culprits or to safeguard the minorities living here,” the family member added.
CAIR could not be reached for comment. Ditto any of the usual Democrat politicians who jump into action when Israel or some other non-Muslim country is accused of offending Islamic sensibilities.
Amnesty International does note that “Section 295C of Pakistan’s Penal Code…carries a mandatory death sentence for blasphemy, though it is not clear under which specific clause the boy has been charged.”
While you might think that not even Pakistan would go full ISIS and murder an 8-year-old boy for peeing on a rug, you never know.
And before we feel too morally superior to Pakistan, when a drunk Latino man mourning his dead sister accidentally urinated on a prayer rug outside a mosque in New York City, politicians and the media spent days screaming about Islamophobia and calling for his head. The original details reported by the media proved to be a bunch of lies, including claims that he shouted “anti-Muslim slurs”, but you’ll still find the original incident listed on indexes of “Islamophobic” incidents.
Good thing we don’t have the death penalty for blasphemy. Yet.
Maybe Pakistan’s PM Khan can take it up at his country’s next “Anti-Blasphemy Convention” which can tackle the threat of blasphemous 8-year-old boys and the best way to chop off their heads.
