AHAHA now ive read everything, there was an article about the rapture on CNN website i found out as someone posted on my fb.

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/09/27/...ical-exvangelical-christianity-cec/index.html

the web address is listed above , hopefully it's not a hyperlink

Wow. There is so much wrong with that article, I don’t even know where to begin.

Talk about fear mongering.

Date setters can and do cause damage. I’ll give them that. But this paints people who believe in the imminent rapture (AKA, Bible-believing Christians) in a bad light — which, I know, was probably the point.

I agree with you on all points. It felt weird to read the article, but at the same time I wasn’t surprised. When you said this though, this is what immediately came to mind:
2 Peter 3:3
“Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.”

I must admit that I've often wondered what it will be like at the moment of the rapture...

Whether I am asleep at the time, driving the car, doing something mundane or sharing Christ, I know that in the blink of an eye I shall find myself in the glorious, unimaginable presence of God!

Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence
Or to my knees, will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
Love, love, love that song. We just had that played at my FIL’s funeral a few weeks ago. What a “send-off”!

It's true, though. 'Rapture anxiety' is a real thing.

The problem is, not everyone who teaches about the Rapture should be teaching about it. Yes, they may find the subject interesting. But we should be considering how Paul approached the topic. The doctrine of the Rapture is meant to be comforting, a Blessed Hope, not something terrifying. I cannot imagine what he wrote to the Thessalonians made them have nightmares, or panic attacks.

Too many people tell others that even Bible believing Christians can and will be left behind because of their sin. God tells us, "I will never leave you or forsake you", and yet we have Christian leaders telling others that He will leave them and forsake them. It causes real problems.

I love to think about that moment as well- the moment we realize we have just been raptured into the presence of Jesus. For myself, I think I will feel as if my deepest and most wonderful dreams have just been fulfilled in a moment's time, and I will also feel incredible relief to be out of the trials and temptations of this earth and into the glories of a whole new existence with Jesus. I get a slap-happy smile just thinking about it.

I was one who used to have "rapture anxiety" to some degree, but as I walked with the Lord and grew in the knowledge of the Word and grew to really understand to a fuller degree what God's grace and love was truly like, that fear has slipped away. Now my major concern is that our loved ones would make their decision firm for the Lord as their Saviour. I don't want to see any of our children left behind, but I do realize this ((salvation) is a choice that they make or reject.

I've figured that when the Father tells the Son it's time to go fetch the Bride, that during whatever time it takes for Jesus to do just that we'll sense something wonderful from the Holy Spirit. I don't expect Jesus will waste any time once He's given the nod, but the moments before the Rapture should be quite nice.
Interesting point, I’ve never really thought about the Holy Spirit welling up within us just prior.

I just hope there's enough time between being transformed into our glorified bodies and being taken into heaven so that we can tell those around us what is happening to us. Many won't listen to rapture talk or scoff at Christian beliefs, but perhaps being transformed in their presence will be enough to change their mind, particularly with a quick explanation to them of what is happening and what will happen.
