Who do you want to meet in heaven?

Ghoti Ichthus

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20
Can you imagine playing kickball in Heaven and being a team captain picking players?
Need an average of 8 players per team . I know we are one in Christ , but to easier identify when picking out players 4 from each Testament will play on each team with a total of 8 players each.
4 OT Saints and 4 NT Saints.

My team (off the top of my head) would be the following.
OT Saints
1. Abraham
2. Moses
3. David
4. Samuel

NT Saints
1. Apostle John
2. Apostle Paul
3. Apostle Peter
4. Saint Stephen

:)

I'm picking:

OT:
Job
Ruth
Gideon
Uriah

NT:
Soldier who crucified Jesus
Cornelius
Mary Magdalene
John the Baptist

My team's mascot is Balaam's ass (with Balaam as handler/caretaker/:poop -picker-upper)
My team's training table will be provisioned by a little boy with a few fish and loaves :biggrin

I thought about it and I would like to meet as many of the children there as possible. Maybe I could be a type of surrogate father figure (secondary to The Father of course) while they wait for loved ones to arrive.

I also hope for the opportunity to learn and to meet great teachers. The possibility of learning say history or how to play a musical instrument from an expert is exciting.

The more I think about the question of who I would like to meet in heaven the more answers I have. The best part is that there will be no need to be an introvert in heaven. We’ll all be family!

And my kickball team? I’m totally going to be one of those grown men playing kickball with the kids!

Mary of Bethany has always been one I’ve felt connected to! I’d like us to be friends ☺️. Enoch, I just feel like he’s such a mystery. I need a heartfelt moment with Eve. Princess Diana (assuming she’s there). Jack Kelly, because his writings laid the foundation for my understanding of Eschatology. And I’d like a friend form every nationality

A lot of democrats. I figure the Republicans will be appropriately represented but the democrats, they are going to need lots and lots and lots of prayer. Even Nancy and Hillary. Especially N and H.

Can you be more specific? But I don't think we are allowed to discuss that on this forum.

It can be discussed, but not promoted .
I don't want to derail this thread , so I will ask you my question in the refuting Calvinism thread here in a bit.

Back on topic ...
I'll have all eternity to meet the many upon many that I want to meet .
Praise the Lord through Him I'll be in Heaven.

There's nothing wrong with being an introvert. God made me this way and it's OK. No matter what the extroverts say :lol

All my critters :thedog :catball

Bet there aren't any "accidents" or litter boxes in Heaven :biggrin

:thankyou JESUS!!! :thankyou

I want to see my critters too. I’m hoping my mom has been hanging out with her golden retriever (and her other animals of course, but they had an extra special bond).

I like the idea of no accidents. :lol

I like to think that all animals that have lived here have gone into heaven. I don’t see why God would have given humans dominion over them initially (when there was no death) if the animals weren’t also meant to live forever originally.

13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Revelation 5:13, KJV

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 148, KJV

I’d like to meet so many people I don’t even understand how it will be possible. How do you find someone in heaven? I also hope my pets will be there. If you see a redheaded guy enjoying a walk with a bunch of dogs it very well could be me. :wave

Do stop me and say hi!

I would like to eventually meet all the Bible characters and get "the rest of the story." But then this week in Bible study, we decided all we needed to find was Paul Harvey. He will tell us the rest of the story! I'm sure he's walking around with his mic, interviewing everyone.
