Who do you want to meet in heaven?

My babies. I lost four pregnancies and never got to hold them. I know we're supposed to say somebody famous or biblical but those four jumped to the front of my list. When I was a child I really, really wanted to meet King David. I would also like to meet my Oma's parents. They both died before I was born but I heard wonderful stories about them.
You have much to look forward to. You will get see all four them !! You will have plenty of time to see and talk to David as well.

Yes! Well said.

@Kelpe I have thought about this so much recently so I hope it's okay if I ramble out some thoughts on it here. Maybe we can help each other with this.

In 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul comforted believers who were worried that other believers who had passed away had missed the rapture. Paul reassures them that in the rapture, those believers who have already passed will take part in the rapture too.

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord."

The main point is that we will all be with the Lord. But, I do tend to believe that when we're caught up together with them, we will see familiar faces.

And even if we aren't automatically brought together with our loved ones, we'll have a LOT of time to find them. And I think the Lord will understand our desire to do so - because just as we've been called to love Him, we're called to love each other - so He would understand more than anyone else how happy we would be to spend time with our loved ones, too.
Thank you, I was really going through a spell of doubting everything I believe and have been taught my whole life when I posted that, one of the processes of grief I guess. My husband went Home extremely unexpectedly 16 weeks ago tomorrow. I miss him terribly and want to be with him so much. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I'm so tired of this world. Thanks also to @ItIsFinished! for responding.

First and foremost, Jesus!!
Too many to list all of the rest of them, but I want to see my mom, the baby my mom was carrying that she miscarried because her first husband beat her (I don't know if it was a boy or a girl), hopefully family members that I don't know whether they were saved or not, and a lot of people from the Bible, like Adam and Eve.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, Kelpe. But I am glad God has brought you through those moments of doubt.

I too am tired of this world, and every day I find myself thinking perhaps today.

In the meantime I'll be praying for you :hug

Aside from my father, who died 20 months ago, I'd like to meet the female disciples of Jesus, like Joanna, and people like Priscilla and Aquila. As a lover of history and as someone who has written some musicals based off of events I'm Luke and Acts, I'd love to meet Luke. I'm sure there's a big line to meet those folks, however.

There were 2 people who were had a strong effect on me when I was still an atheist and I've never been able to find them and tell them I became a Christian in part due to them. I would love to thank them in person.

After my Lord and Saviour, Jesus I want to meet John the Baptist and ask him what it was like to baptize Jesus and did he pinch His nose? My dad who died on Dec 23,1958, one week after my 6th birthday and of course all my relatives .
Having dreamed of living in a log home for years I often think about wanting a log home on a mtn top somewhere I've even thought of my mansion in heaven being just a simple log home. I made my nephew promise to make my husband bury me in a log coffin with a big porch on the front if I should die before dh.

Do ya'll think Jesus is up there laughing at all of us and our ideas about heaven?

I don't think He laughs at us , but I bet He smiles at some of our thoughts and desires about Heaven .
Our finite minds are incapable of fully understanding what our infinite Saviour has planned for us.
Personally I wouldn't want it any other way.

After the obvious answers of Jesus, family, and friends I do have others I’d love to meet. Paul is at the top of the list other than one special person I will be meeting for the first time. My first wife had a miscarriage early into a pregnancy. We didn’t even know the sex. The weird thing is I’ve always pictured a girl for reasons unknown. It’s strange to think that while I’m not a parent in this life I will be in the next.

I also desperately want to meet the archangel Michael or at the least I want the chance to see him. If this happens the very embarrassing exchange I’ve typed below inevitably will occur (assuming I have the chance to speak with him).

Me: Are you the archangel Michael?
Michael: Yes.
Me: Can I hold your sword?
Michael: No.
Me: Can I get my own like your sword?
Michael: No.
Me: Can I at least touch your sword?
Michael: No.
Me: Will you show me how it works?
Michael: No.
Me: Fair enough. I’m just thankful you‘re on our side.

2. Moses
3. David
4. Samuel

NT Saints
1. Apostle John
2. Apostle Paul
3. Apostle Peter
4. Saint Stephen
