Who do you want to meet in heaven?

Ghoti Ichthus

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20
Add to my list, above, Papias (Bishop of Hierapolis) and (some of the other Church Fathers and the Desert Mothers and Fathers)
I especially want to meet whoever it was that hid/lost/destroyed Papias' Exposition of the Sayings of the Lord :tappingfoot

I started a thread like this many years ago on the old forum, so I thought I’d start it up again here.

*** Who, after meeting and embracing Jesus, do you want to meet in heaven?***
We all will of course want to first meet and hug Jesus, but I’m curious who you’d like to meet after that. For me I am so anxious to see my nephew Andrew, who had severe cerebral palsy all his life & could never do anything on his own. Then after being reunited with my relatives, I want to meet the apostle Paul, Moses, and I also want to meet and fellowship with some of the Christian artists like Keith Green, Carman, etc.

Heaven will be such a blast!!! :dance
I just can't wait to hear Jesus say my name and validate and fix every broken place inside me.

I want to talk to Jesus' half-siblings and ask them if they battled an inferiority complex. Gotta be tough when your older brother was always perfect, lolz!
And then i want to pet a T-rex, but only shortly after i give skydiving a try. Because skydiving in heaven will be so much more awesome since you know you can't die.
I think after that, i'll find a good vantage point near one of the gates and spend some time people-watching to see their initial reactions when they enter heaven for the first time.
And then i'll take cooking classes. Because i know nothing about cooking with manna, let alone all the other new ingredients up there.
I love the people watching idea! Can you imagine how much joy there will be?!

Won’t that be wonderful… No more obesity… No wrinkles… No aches and pains… No bone spurs (I know that’s crazy but I have a few). And we won’t have to take naps in order get our energy back!
I always imagine either we'll just know or there will be a way to see every step of God's plan for us to see exactly how he worked everything together. I'm excited to see that as well.

Somewhere in one of Paul's letters he says someday we will understand it all..for now, we see through a glass darkly..but when the time comes we'll see things clearly.. that's a paraphrase..will have to look up it's address...or someone who is better at memorizing such things....may post it before I can get back...

My babies. I lost four pregnancies and never got to hold them. I know we're supposed to say somebody famous or biblical but those four jumped to the front of my list. When I was a child I really, really wanted to meet King David. I would also like to meet my Oma's parents. They both died before I was born but I heard wonderful stories about them.

I'm most excited to see my mom, and her mom (my grandma). When I picture it, I think of us hugging and laughing and crying and praising God. My heart swells at just the thought. I'm really excited to see them in their glorified bodies. They were both incredibly beautiful in their earthly bodies, so I can't even imagine how beautiful they'll be in their resurrected bodies!

As far as Biblical figures, right now I'm really excited to meet Abraham and Sarah. I'm moving through Andy Woods' Genesis series right now and the study has really brought them to life for me as people.

My daughter, my mom, and hopefully my dad. I'd also like to meet the two siblings my mom miscarried before having me and the two half-siblings my stepmom miscarried after she and my dad married. Three of my siblings are a mystery to me as to whether they're boys or girls, but the first baby my stepmom miscarried (at 6 months) was a girl who was going to be named Crystal. I think of her often, especially now that the Rapture seems so close and I'm going to get to meet her. It's funny, here on earth I'm an only child, but in heaven I'm the middle child of five. :lol
