When we come back.

I hadn't really thought about this until recently, but the thought occurred to me, the Earth will still be the same Earth when we come back with Jesus at the end of the tribulation right? The thought occurred to me if my house would still be here, and all my junk I have now. I know the Earth is supposed to suffer a catastrophe, like asteroids, earthquakes and the like from the judgments and warfare unleashed after we leave. I can just imagine coming back to my neighborhood, if it still exists, and what kind of shape it would be in, and who had done what with "my" stuff. I've got quite a stock of food and water stored here for any unsaved relatives and friends who might come knocking afterward.

Am I right? The Earth doesn't get remade until after the millennium, right?
yes; understand the Earth will fire/burning everything to make renew heaven and earth....There will no more water/sea same as the Earthin future

While I agree with everyone about the "return to Eden" natural experience, I think it'll be very Star Trek like too (advanced tech). I think it'll combine those two aspects into a unique blend of natural beauty/harmony with man-made creativity and innovation.

I'm curious whether things outside our planet will change. Will space be less harsh? Will Mars suddenly have breathable atmosphere? The possibilities are endless!

I agree but my question is still how will the earth burn and the elements melt with survivors still on the earth? Only God can do that. Kinda like he did with the global flood. I don't think anyone had ever built an ark before but God instructed Noah how to build it.

This is so interesting. I had not really thought about running into people I know...wow. Or going back to my old neighborhood. Strange.

But I do think a lot about ruling and reigning with Christ. I am not a leader or manager type at all, so it's way beyond my human character. But I imagine being able to operate from a place of 100% Holy Spirit working through me, without my flesh in the way at all....and with a new mind, completely Christ-minded.

Ruling and reigning in complete wisdom, complete authority, complete justness, complete righteousness, and yet with complete love.....Complete humility, and servant hood! It's amazing to think about. And how would I deal with the real trouble makers....with supernatural powers if necessary? Wow!
I don't think there will be any trouble makers there................ until satan is let out of his pit.
And, Jesus is going to quell that right away.

Perhaps He will get them to Petra for a place of safety. It is mentioned in the 3 1/2 years of the great tribulation.
He could do it in any manner of ways............ He's God. He could just seal them to protect them. We just limit Him too much
sometimes, with our puny little human minds.

I've thought about the method he uses to cleanse the earth. First time he used water this time he uses fire. Reminds me of baptism. John Baptizer used water but in Jesus baptism is with water and fire. Water cleanses but fire purifies. So God cleansed the earth with water in the flood this time he purifies the earth with fire. What do you think of my analogy?

I think right before the MK, Jesus will restore the earth, making it perfect for the next thousand years.

After the MK, its a whole new existence, and not on earth, but in New Jerusalem, coming down from Heaven

Revelation 21:
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

I think it's a viable consideration.

I think there will be a lot of things that we think will be handled a certain way in our humanistic view........
and, we will totally surprised and awe-stricken at how He actually does them!
I can't wait to see!

I agree that Rev 21 talks about *after* the MK! :) New Heaven and New Earth! In the New Heaven, there might be totally different planets...or not...maybe no other planets. I can't wait!

After I read your post this verse came to mind

However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him--
1 Corinthians 2:8

wont every body be an eternal one by the end of the MK? if so it will not matter if the heavens desolve to make way for a new and reivived heaven and earth as we will all be able to watch its creation as did the angels in the begining...... and we can all sing hallelujah, awesome is our God, King and Saviour

Right. The Earth that we live on right now will still be here when we return with Jesus.
The thought occurred to me if my house would still be here, and all my junk I have now. I know the Earth is supposed to suffer a catastrophe, like asteroids, earthquakes and the like from the judgments and warfare unleashed after we leave. Don't worry about your stuff being there when you return. It will probably be used by others in need, as you intended. If not, it will be ripped off by thieves, or destroyed in the cataclysms.
The Earth doesn't get remade until after the millennium, right?
Jesus will restore this present Earth to its pristine condition of Eden before the MK begins.
After the MK, He will annihilate this Earth and the universe and make an entirely new earth and universe. His Purpose for doing so is to destroy all of the works done in them.
So even if your stuff is still around after the Tribulation, it certainly won't be after the MK.
But during the MK, you won't need your stuff anyway.

Where does this doctrine come from? I don't find it in Rev 20?
Matthew 19:

28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wifeor children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Concur. All those tribulation saints who survived the tribulation, and entered into the MK, will be in their natural body, but upon completion of the thousand year MK, will have a Glorified body.

I guess I've always pictured it in my mind, that the earth as we know it, will be pretty much totally destroyed.
It will be our job, as servants of Christ, to oversee and help with the rebuilding of a new, and better earth.
(Or perhaps God just speaks it into place, as He did the first time around.)
No more pollution, the lamb will lie down with the lion, no more wars, no more greed........ I have pictured it as
being a return to the Garden of Eden type existence. Then again, it's hard to picture a world without all the
technological stuff ........... So, guess we will have to wait and see.

Another thing............ In Genesis we are told that when God made Adam and Eve leave the garden after their sin,
He set angels in place to guard it, so no one could enter it. Why did He do that? It sounds like Eden is still there........
maybe in another dimension, but still there. Perhaps we will be able to visit the Garden of Eden in our travels on the
new earth????
Oh my i would love to see the Garden of Eden! I bet it is beautiful along with everything else in Heaven. I hope we don't have to wait much longer. Also technical stuff I guess is kinda cool. But we won't need it after the Rapture, Praise God! We will become like Him, all that love God! Wow no more sickness, pain, agony, disappointment, rejection. Only God/Jesus, beauty, happiness, love, and plenty of reconnection with family who have gone on before us. Sorry I know my post is all over the place but I truly want to meet all of you in Heaven and above all be with God! :D
