When Diplomacy Ends Holy War Begins! by Bill Salus

On April 19, 2010 Israel celebrated 62 years of independence. On that same day American president Barrack Obama announced the United States may leverage its veto power in the United Nations against Israel in the future. His threatening statement, which represents a major departure from previous U.S. foreign policy, was designed to coerce Israel into Obama’s vision for Middle East peace.

The very next day the BP Deepwater Horizon explosion occurred in the Gulf of Mexico killing 11 workers and injuring 17 others. This explosion created what is being touted as the world’s largest oil spill and is still ongoing today. Estimates are that hundreds of millions of gallons of oil have already seeped into the gulf and no definitive end to the seepage is presently in sight.

Approximately one week earlier on April 14, 2010 the UK watchdog agency called the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned Israel from including pictures of the Western Wall in promoting tourism to citizens of the UK. The ASA is the UK’s independent regulator of advertising across all media including TV, internet, sales promotions and direct marketing. The reason given is that it implied Israel possessed legal sovereignty over East Jerusalem, something the Arab League and apparently even the UK government contests.

Oddly on the very same day the Eyjafjallajokull Iceland volcano erupted grounding all flights and about one-million people from the UK and much of Europe. The apparent reward for the ASA’s potential adverse affect on Israeli tourism was that all tourism departing from or arriving to the UK remained at a complete standstill. All flight traffic remained grounded for approximately 2 weeks until the volcanic dust settled.

Meanwhile, as the ashes were falling upon the UK creating a nauseous odor over parts of Europe, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, “Yom Hashoah”, ceremonies were concluding in various parts of the world. These ceremonies commemorated the millions of Jews reduced to ashes from being incinerated during the Holocaust. Many in Europe still recall the horrific smell of those charred Jewish ashes. Dust for dust and ashes from Auschwitz might best describe the irony.

While I understand the points made in this post and note the seeming connections that imply consequence, I am bound to remind everybody of RF Board Rule #27:

[27] No Speculations on the Causes of Natural Disasters onto people or cities as being Judgments from God - We are still living in the Age of Grace. God deals with individuals on a personal salvation basis and speculations of natural disasters and the timings of isolated or random natural disasters upon others due to political, economic, or religious actions taken by governments, societies, or individuals does not warrant a direct judgment from God. Luke 13:2-5 II Peter 3:7-13

Does that include cheeseburgers?

I would say that Bill Salus' article has nothing to do with RF Rule #27 and everything to do with Genesis 12:3.

Thanks for the reminder, Adrian! I thought a little about that rule but I felt like Salus' article did not cross the rule boundary. I'm with Sean about Bill's emphasis on Gen 12:3. If it broke the rule, then I'm truly sorry.

Rule # 27 notwithstanding, those facts are very sobering!

Indeed. But seriously, even if they were not just coincidental, as worldly opinion would say, how many of like events does it take to open up the eyes of the lost and make people see that the Gracious Lord Most High is serious about His land? IMO If they were indeed acts of God then the signs are for the believers not the unbelievers. They would be meant for us to look heavenward and realize that He is the Supreme Lord over all things past, present, and future.

Looking up...still.

Psalm 18:2
I have heard about these connections being made, and I understand the forum rules. The reason for the rule is it's hard for any of us to say with any certainty what constitutes a judgement from God or just strange coincidence.

But once I read about events happening to a country, region, or people that have recently gone against the people of Israel........ Genesis 12:2 rings clearly in my mind and heart.

12:2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 12:3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

I cant say one way or the other if events of disasters or troubles are linked to judgement. But as someone who loves the Lord and fears the Lord....I wouldnt take the chance. When we hear of a country who has gone against Israel, in the back of my mind, I think "uh oh." NOT GOOD.

Ive been wanting to ask a question about the oil spill

 will it cause the fish to die ? and if that began to happen to where they all float to the surface of the water and begin to smell what does the Bible say that time will be ?
does any one know ?

was designed to coerce Israel into Obama’s vision for Middle East peace.

:shocked this part keeps jumping at me :fear

did you know that there are 3 peace (former) plans and all of them are failing :tsk:
not to mention that it says in the Bible "HE" will confirm
that means strengthen whatever is already which we know is not working :tsk:
peace at any price is no peace at all
Israel can not keep all the things in the so called peace plans already failing and they know this and know why  what else can Israel do to appease ? nothing more Israel can do will appease them :ohno

Daniels vision is quite clear and it would behoove the other visionaries of modern time to read what the book says :((

The seas turn to blood in the trumpet judgments of Revelation 8: 8 & 9. :hug

By the way, we are not in the tribulation yet. That happens after the rapture when a peace agreement is confirmed between Israel and its enemies by the anti-christ.
