Whats your plans for the day?

Ghoti Ichthus

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20
Saw my new PCP at the VA. She's a lot like the old one, whom I really liked and could work with.

Also saw the social worker at the VA and she gave me a bunch of information and she's getting the ball rolling for Dad.

Now, at the indoor strip mall while Dad walks with his Rollator.

Later, have to go to the medical equipment store(s) for something Dad needs. Not sure if I'm going to go to WF and make a home-cooked dinner, or get take-out :pizza I still have to get some :cloud9

:bouncies

:thankyou JESUS!!! :thankyou

My dog was outside, so I opened a small roll of ritz crackers. He loves them, but he is getting a little porky, so off limits. He came inside as I was walking in the living room, and I had a mouth full of crackers. So what do I do? I stop chewing as I walk by him so he wont know Im eating. Is that wrong? Perhaps I need Ghoti to train him, and I might as well take a few lessons myself

Your dog knew. He could hear you chewing and smell the crackers before you stopped and still smell them after you stopped :lol

My dog has been trained not to beg, stare, whine, etc. when people are eating. She isn't allowed and doesn't go anywhere near anyone or the table when anyone is eating, drinking, doing paperwork, doing a jigsaw puzzle, etc. It's easy to train, especially if done while the dog is still a small puppy and can't stand and help him or herself to whatever's on the table, counter, etc. It's a good thing to train soon after the dog learns NO (or phooey/phui, bad, etc.).

Not much going on around here. Had my daughter's birthday party but I should have followed up with the invitations because several of the guests did not show. It was still a nice time but I feel badly that my kids don't get bigger turnouts for their parties. More cupcakes for us afterwards. Yum.

I'll probably be baking buns this week so I'm going to have to set up all of our room fans in the kitchen so I don't over-heat. We've had a few pop-up showers recently but most of the forecasted storms end up blowing past us and the heat and humidity continue. I also need to go through the kids' homeschool books for the year and decide what we're keeping for their portfolios, what will go to the scrap pile for future drawings and stories and what will go into the burn pile.

I also started the process to re-seal the extra tank I have in my closet. The seal on my tank I'm using is getting really iffy so I need to make sure my back-up is a true back-up. I know it currently doesn't hold water. Once I started scraping out the old seal I could see why: there was no seal at all long two of the edges on the bottom. Yeesh. I've re-sealed one tank successfully already so I know I can do it. It's just tedious.

I ran and had breakfast at McDonalds. Don't have plans for the day. There's some chores I would like to put behind me. Don't know if this will be the day I get to any of them or not.
Seems like your adjusting well to living in a home not requiring much maintenance as opposed to homesteading in the middle of nowhere, with a list of chores that never ends. Welcome to my world where I have chores, but not always a necessity to get them all done if I dont fell like it that day… :lol

Yeah, I could put them off until next year, nothing serious or really important. It's nice not having 4 or 5 hours of chores facing me nearly every day. That competed over much with the time I could spend on RF.

Hectic day at the office. The other admin is on leave so I had to manage all the urgent requests. I had to do all that in the afternoon as I am in our client's office in the morning. On top of that I had to look for consultants in Saudi Arabia to help us with setting up a business there. I love being busy and it's much better than when I don't have much workload because you never know when you'll be on the chopping block. :lol
