Whats your plans for the day?

When I was a teen, my favourite show was "Promised Land" where the family travels around with their RV/trailer and do odd jobs and help people. I think it was a spin-off from Touched by an Angel. I had been looking forever for it on DVD but never could and then one year my husband said he found it and ordered it for me. Turns out it was someone who had recorded it off the TV and then burned it onto DVD. The quality is so bad it is nearly unwatchable. I really tried and got some enjoyment but I wasn't able to finish the series. I may try again. Not sure I could actually live that way. I have watched a few YouTube blogs but so many are doing it as some sort of anti-capitalist/minimalist philosophy. It's why I gave up the Tiny House videos. I like my space and privacy.

Today, we were walking to the church for the kids' piano lessons but then realized I had forgotten the books once we got to the parking lot. So I had to walk all the way back home and then back again. I had left the kids at the church so I guess they did note flashcards. I took my bike back to the church. The chain had fallen off over the winter so I had to fix that which ate a little into the time I was trying to save. At least it was an easy fix. I am really feeling the smokey haze today. It's neither hot nor humid but I feel this heaviness in my chest after any exertion.

I went to the RV storage facility and did not think I would get a spot because everybody and their uncle has a RV in Oregon. However, my name had been on the list for 1 year (I submitted my name last year just in case), and because I walked in vice calling, a spot had just opened this morning, and she gave it to me. Normally parking a big trailer in these lots is a challenge, because the spaces can be tight, so backing in is not too fun. But, my site I now have is not only a pull through straight in vice backing in, its a overhead covered spot to protect from the rain. Last time I had my fifth wheel stored here was 2019-2021. During those 2 years, a pull through site never came open, but I did get a covered spot, but it was a back in.

Up until the last few days, I was not sure I wanted to RV again, but my wife……She is 100 percent in. I have prayed several times lately, and I feel good about this decision, but I did feel inside me that if the RV storage has a space, then go for it, if not, no RVing. It is rare to find an opening at this facility which is the top one in the area, 2 miles from my house.

There is a possibility we could sell our house next year, have our belongings put in storage, then RV all around looking for a new home to live in until we are at our final HOME, with Him.

You could get an RV with the garage in the back and park a couple of harleys in there for your local transportation.

We received news that we weren't selected for the next phase of the project. This is such big news because this has been our company's bread and butter for many years. Having worked in our client's office since last year, I always hear them saying we're the best contractor, so I don't know what went wrong with the tender. Perhaps our quoted value is higher.

I don't know what it means for everyone because we have a roster of around 300 technicians and staff in this project. We have other existing projects but this is our second biggest so it will surely make a dent in the company. I pray our management can work it out and still get that contract.

Praising my Savior all the day long!
5:54 am and with the very low humidity there is very little dew on the lawn so in an hour I will be :mowing and string trimming the edges, then run the sprinklers for a while. Have some errands to run later that will take a couple hours, then back home and spray the broadleaf weeds , I think there is one dandelion that seems tougher than his fellow yellow friends, double dose for him today, no mercy! Need to clean Hummingbird feeder and get it set up and maybe a nap this afternoon.

I'm feeling very tired today, so I am not doing much. I will just make my family dinner, and I have a doctor's appt early this afternoon. I wish I didn't have to go. He makes me get blood work done every 4 months and makes me come in to get the results. The results are usually fine, so I don't see why he can't just make a quick phone call to tell me everything is fine and continue on with my medication as usual. That's all he says when I go in, and he spends the rest of the appointment on his laptop while I sit there feeling uncomfortable. I think he does it this way so that he can make money on the visit without having to do anything.

Yall seem to have such an orderly life.
And doing your errands together must be nice too.
It is nice to have a plan, and Jeff pushes the cart at the grocery store. He knows things we buy weekly, and puts them in the cart as well as myself. So we both do the grocery shopping. He folds his clothes after laundry is done puts them away, and we both :mowing half of the front and back yard. It is nice to help each other so 1 person doesn't do all the work.

Well, our car is dead again. This time, it might be the alternator. We're hoping to get the car towed back home (it's currently at the side of the highway somewhere) and get someone from church to fix it so we only have to pay for the part itself. But we still need to arrange an alternate means of transportation. The person we borrowed from last time is out of country for a month. My husband's coworker is driving him home today but it's out of the way so we can't car pool.

My tailbone (coccydynia) is still not healed and its been 8 months. I sent a message to VA Dr, and my civilian Dr, requesting to be evaluated for a
coccygeal injection from pain management. My Chiropractor told me I might be a good candidate for these injections, which could help calm the nerves, and coupled with continuing chiropractic care, should be much better soon.

One time when we had a Chevy Lumina we had a double whammy a alternator and battery. :prayyou get your problem fixed soon, and help for a backup car. It sounds like you are a 1 car family as well as we are. I can't believe we have already had our Chevy Impala for 4 years now. The nice thing is we paid it off in 2 years so no car payments. We had our Lumina for 10 years and 8 months. No car payments paid cash for it.

We share too, but differently now that he's retired and I'm not. He takes care of most all of the yard work now, since he has time, and does most of the vacuuming. I dust and do most of the dishes, take out trash, etc. We always shop together and both do laundry.

We've had our car about 7 years now. When we got it, it might as well have been brand new even though it was used. It only had 7,000km on it which is crazy for a car several years old. It was perfect until a few months after our last payment...of course. We have a mini-van for the kids and the stuff we carry around. It makes our long road trips to see family easier and more comfortable. We can bring exactly what we need and still have room to stretch out and not be squished in for hours on end. Or, even the drive to town we can separate the kids when they are fighting too much into the different rows. When our son is melting down there is no reasoning with him and you can't even beg him to leave his sister alone in those moods. But I'm willing to sacrifice the extra row if we can find one of those suv/sedan type cars that still has very good trunk space and has the right price.

And I'm still hoping we can simply replace the broken part for the time being and buy ourselves time to find the right car.

Took my Dad to the close-by church today. The Pastor from Africa that's in charge of the gen and a half ministry (ministry to kids/teens that immigrated or were born soon after parents immigrated and so are cut off in many ways from both cultures) did the (very good and interesting) sermon. Probably the only sermon I've ever seen in any Lutheran church during which the Pastor was jumping up and down (a little in a few places) from joy and excitement (Pentecost, Holy Ghost, Paraclete indwelling believers, etc. :smile :lol Definitely not a Pentecostal, Charismatic, etc. church, so definitely different, but also definitely natural and not staged/forced. Pastor just full of joy (and The Holy Ghost) and enjoying teaching and preaching The Gospel, etc. :smile

When I was kid, we sometimes had this guest speaker come and he would walk up and down the stage and sometimes stomp his foot with passion. He was a larger man so his jowls sometimes shook too. For a very German Mennonite church you can imagine it was quite shocking! It probably was not even as much as I am remembering.

Had a busy day of work. Now sitting on the couch watching a prophecy update. And eating cheese and crackers. The dogs are staring
I saw a picture of a sad German Shepherd once titled I see you has sammich! I has NO sammich! and the saddest guilt inducing eyes ever. Dogs are so good at guilt.

I got out for a WALK today! Felt great. Short because I'm still healing up, but it was wonderful to get out.
