Whats your plans for the day?

For the next few days, I will help my wife assemble her “dreambox”, (dreambox is the actual name of it) which is a big shelving/drawers system divided into 3 connecting shelves on wheels for storage of all crafts related materials and tools. Its 9 feet long, 6 feet high, weighs approx 650 pounds. It arrived a few days ago, and thankfully, its divided in 12-15 boxes, so lugging it upstairs is not too bad.

Our 9 year old granddaughter has been living with us for the past 22 days, and her mom will get back from a work related trip in one week.

Mostly twiddling my thumbs, waiting to begin my trip south tomorrow morning. I'll load most of my travel stuff into the truck later today when it's a little warmer, and transfer a few things from the trailer to the truck so I have room for about 10 boxes I plan to load into the trailer tomorrow at O Dark Hundred before I start the journey south which will complete our move to Cheyenne. I'm thinking of going to a place called Brewster's for lunch. They have the best burger in Fairbanks. It's good, not great, though sometimes the cook does a pretty good job...

Have a safe trip to your new home Wyoming. We are thinking about going to Burger King for whoppers. It is another beautiful day here we have some windows open with a nice breeze coming in. :yipee

I have been slinging pixels like crazy for the past few months, and intend to continue tomorrow, but will dial it back over the weekend. Despite the intensity of the slinging, I managed to get out on the river for "lunch" last couple days. The river is in flood stage from a hard rain we had last week, so I paddled through the cypress swamp to avoid dealing with the current. I found a cool rat snake perched up in the branches of a young cypress tree. Once work calms down in June, I intend to build the same kayak again as I did last summer, but I'm finding the premium lightweight woods now, expecting to come out around 32 pounds. I used cypress last year, and it weighs around 50.

About 80 percent recovery. I have had 6 weeks of chiropractic adjustments, rehab stretching, and massage. I also do 20 minutes a day at home of streches targeting the troubled area. Im more limber now than I have been in a few decades. I even tried a few visits with Acupuncture using the e-stim electrical attachments. All the above combined has helped, but I think the last 2 massages have helped the most.

As for the Dreambox assembly………o_O. My brother in law is coming over today to work with my wife while I escape by taking my granddaughter to her soccer game, and then whatever activity I can think of to avoid more assembly instructions which to me, might as well be written in a foreign language. My way of assembly does not seem to workpcbash

DS1 was 3-4 years old. DW went Christmas shopping at the last minute after I thought we were done already. She brought home a working battery-powered roller coaster with, and no exaggeration, 2000 parts, many of them very similar but slightly different. It took up practically the whole living room floor. I begged her to put it back in the trunk (this was Christmas eve) and return it, he had plenty of other toys, and no idea of the roller coaster. She refused, and called my brother to come help. I don't know why he answered the phone, shoulda known better, but I'm glad he did. We stayed up all night long assembling it, barely finishing before DS popped out of his bedroom about 6AM, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. After Christmas, we had to partially disassemble it and move it into his bedroom. It lasted a week or so before he started taking sections down to make room to walk.

Good times. There was nowhere to escape to, no errands to run at 2am on Christmas morn.
