The theme from 'How the West was Won'.

(Stride by stride they tamed the savage prairie land
Nothing stopped them no wind nor rain nor sun
Side by side these pioneers from every land
All pulled together that's how the West was won)

And they sang of the day when they would rest their boots
In a land where the still waters flow
Where the dreams of a man and wife could put down roots
And their love and the seeds of love would grow
(And grow and grow)
(Dream by dream they built a nation from this land
Forged in freedom for every mother's son
Here it is the beautiful the promised land
We won't forget them and how the West was won)

You're welcome.

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20
It is Well With My Soul

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

[Chorus]
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blessed assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

[Chorus]

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

[Chorus]

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

I just heard the story of the man who wrote these lyrics....they lost a son to illness...then this man sent his wife n 4 daughters on vaca via ship....the ship sank n the 4 daughters died. His wife sent him a message..."Saved alone, what shall I do?"

Amazing after all this couple lost, that he created a song that blesses so many! I think the song Amazing Grace has a similar story.

I praise God that even thru huge tragedy ppl still choose to praise God! Makes me chide myself for complaining about minor things....

I'm a nanny, so usually "Wheels on the Bus" or other preschool songs are in my head lol.

My fav hymn is "What a Friend We Have in Jesus"

Today the song What a Wonderful World was playing and these silly parody lyrics came to me for my dog...(as though my dog is singing to the tune of What a Wonderful World)

I see steaks so thick,
And chicken too...
I smell them cook,
For me and you...

And I think to myself...
What a wonderful world...

I see hot bar-b-que...
And meat that's white...
The bright blessed day,
The treats I get at night...

And I think to myself...
What a wonderful world..

Lol
Sorry to hack that song...it's my nanny brain at work lol BUTTT, now I can't get the song outta my head!!!!!!
