Getting ready to go for a run, and the rest of the day will evolve around my little GD.

My wife is going out of town for 3 days to attend a funeral for her childhood best friends father. I told her to take a few extra nights in the hotel to unwind from all the events of the last month, and enjoy her “me“ time.

Buddy :bluesclues and I are already planning a big party, and we will stay up until 9pm….Wild beasts are we.

Invite the neighbors so they don't call the cops because of all the noise :lol

I woke up early today 3:20. Going for a long run, make my granddaughter breakfast and take her to school, lift weights, try and squeeze in a walk with the dog, quick run to drop off junk at the local dump, pick up GD from school, 2 hours at Defy, then home for an early :snoopy

I enjoyed my time spent with the small body of Believers this evening. We mostly focused on Revelation 17. They told me I was gonna think they were a bunch of wackos studying Revelation. My telling them that I study eschatology everyday on Rapture Forums put their minds at ease. It was a very pleasant two hours, and I got to meet some folks we'll be spending eternity with.

That sounds fantastic! :cheer

Went for an hour run on some really nice trails that are only about 10 minutes from my son's house. Then we stopped at Carl's Jr and I ordered a double western bacon cheeseburger combo. Later today we're going to go to about the only store where I like to do a full shelf check: Harbor Freight.

My dh and I are participating in an 8 week challenge to read through the New Testament in that amount of time. We drove 20 min to our county seat and did some of our Bible reading in a nice coffee shop run by a sweet Christian lady. I think she likes it when we walk into her shop carrying our Bibles, commentaries, etc. The place has a very nice quiet atmosphere, and she's always so cheerful and smiling. Afterward, my dh and I walked around the courthouse square to get some exercise in the fresh air. When I passed my hair stylist's shop on the square, I saw through the big picture window that she was working on a lady's hair. I decided to go in and say 'hi'. I discovered it was her birthday so I also got to sign a birthday banner and wish her Happy Birthday! Came home and made split pea soup for dinner, as it's going to be cold and snowy this weekend. I barely remember him, but I met a co-worker of my sons somewhere else in the country when they were on temporary duty somewhere... I think it was in North Carolina. We chatted for a long time. He learned I was in town and wanted very much to get together with me again so he'll meet us at a Calvary Chapel in Colorado Springs on Sunday and then we'll have lunch at In-N-Out Burgers.

It sounds like you are having a nice visit, and having fellowship with the Calvary Chapel brothers & sisters. I watch pastors online from CC.

Ran errands in the snow. Not a lot of people out compared to what it usually is, so it was a lot faster, except for people that don't know how to drive in the snow and should've stayed home :tappingfoot . Didn't stop snowing until I got home :lol
When I stopped at LabCorp to have blood drawn for the Walk-In Lab tests the VA docs can't order, there wasn't anyone else there, so out in less than 10 minutes from the time I hit the door :bouncies

:thankyou JESUS!!! :thankyou

Today I was in the mood for homemade salsa so I pulled out ten fresh Jalapenos, 4 lg. Roma tomatoes, 8 med to large Green tomatillos with skin removed, one bunch of fresh cilantro, half head of fresh garlic with about six cloves, six stems of thinly sliced green onions (the long green ones with chives), 2 cans of tomato sauce and salt. Boiled the Peppers, Roma tomatoes, Green Tomatillos until soft when pierced, about 15 minutes, then put them in the blender with six fresh cloves of garlic and tomato sauce and added about 1/4 cup of the water that the peppers were boiled with and added salt to taste and blended it on high until well blended. Poured blended mixture into a bowl and added fresh chopped cilantro, the thinly sliced green onion, and stirred well. Then poured it all into two storage containers and refrigerated them. Tip: If you don't go through the salsa fast you can keep it longer in fridge by adding about two tablespoons of lemon juice as a preservative.
I had a container for me and one for my caregiver.
Then the fun part happened.
I was in the middle of cleanup when all of a sudden I looked down to the floor to find it flooding with water, coming out of the cabinet under the kitchen sink. I opened the cabinet doors to find the goodneck had come apart and all the time I was rinsing the dishes to get them ready to vessh all of the water was running straight bout of the pipe that came apart from the gooseneck. Ughhj. I called landlord immediately because I'm in no condition to cleanup all that mess of water all over the floor and under the sink. He sent over someone to fix the gooseneck and clean up the flooded floor. Whew what a morning!

Nothing like getting a text from my wife who is spending 3 days on a coastal beach town in Oregon, telling me they just went under a tsunami warning. :yikesThis town has a history of tsunamis, and her hotel is at the lowest point in town, a few hundred yards from the ocean.
Most of the west coast was under the warning, but a few smaller waves was all that happened. This was triggered by an under water volcano eruption near the pacific nation of Tonga.
