Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Chinese defense minister Li Shangfu in Moscow on Sunday, Tass news agency cited Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying. Beijing had announced Li's visit to Moscow last week, saying he would meet defense officials, but made no mention of a meeting with Putin. Peskov told Tass that details of the meeting would be released later. Chinese President Xi Jinping met Putin in Moscow last month.

I miss the days when these two nations hated and mistrusted each other due to their ideological differences on how to best "liberate the workers of the world" (Russia favored a more gradual cultural infiltration while Mao thought blunt force and military conquest was best).

Interesting to note that, while it took longer than the lifespan of the actual USSR, the Soviet approach DID work, IS STILL working and is currently paying dividends in that the USA is becoming a balkanized collection of mutually hateful ideologies, way more focused on squabbling over race reparations, CRT, pronouns and genitally mutilating children than pulling together against any common enemy of our nation.

Russia and China working cohesively together would be well nigh unstoppable. I'm sure they too will turn on each other in time but not while they have a common foe.
