Vivek Ramaswamy defends call to cut Israel aid at first Republican debate
Haley lashed out at Ramaswamy over his recent suggestion that he would cut American aid to Israel if elected.

In a night of standoffs between Republican presidential candidates on the debate stage, one of the fiercest occurred over Israel. During the first debate of the 2024 presidential campaign season in Milwaukee on Wednesday, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley attacked entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy over his proposal to cut United States aid to Israel. It was the longest conversation about Jewish issues all evening, and brought increased visibility to a topic that, after decades of being a political third rail, has come under discussion on both sides of the aisle.

I don't trust Ramaswamy at all, especially since I found out he paid to get his Soros connection off of Wikipedia before he announced his presidential run. Apparently in 2011 he won a Soros fellowship award for new Americans.
He talks a good talk. Too good. He’s smooth. While I agree with many things he’s saying, I can’t overlook the fact that he’s not a Christian. And he worked for biotech in the past also. I cannot vote for someone who’s no seeking God’s will and guidance in their life/decision making, regardless of what a smooth talker he is.

If he ends up as the nominee, I will do a write-in instead. I hope the dem nominee is the least obnoxious of all those possibilities.

Is Israel not able to pay for its own defense now? Its GDP is almost 500 billion a year.

It's not about cutting ties with them. They could still have access to American weapons, they would just buy them on normal commercial terms.

I will vote for anyone running against Biden except I will write in Trump if somehow Ramaswamy hoodwinks people into nominating him. Israel / Soros is a complete deal breaker for me!!!
It's highly unlikely that he will get the nomination. At this point I get the impression that he is running for Vice President, not President.
