This is the message that many New Age and occultic writers have been relaying for years now through their channeling sessions with demons. Their 'guides' are telling them that the time is coming for the earth to be 'cleansed', and that some people are not ready to evolve into a higher plane of existence (hint- they are referring to Bible believing Christians). New Age writers claim they are being told that this group of laggards (Christians) will be levitated from the earth onto waiting spaceships that will then ferry them to another planet to be 'reeducated'.
I don't really like gleaning intelligence from Satan's camp to try and validate our own beliefs. Even if he is leaking things to his followers, everything he says is untrustworthy. He is a liar and the father of lies.

It's better for us to root our beliefs in what God has revealed to us.

I'm not sure why you would think I do not root my beliefs in the Bible. The Bible did not shy away from revealing the activities and deceptions of Satan, instead it clearly warned us as Christians to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Wisdom does not come from being ignorant of Satan's mechanations- it comes from seeing them from the viewpoint of God. My interest in what these New Age writers are channeling is that is ties very much to what the Bible says is coming- a great Satanic deception that will fool many people, even the elect if possible. We are constantly in Spiritual Warfare, and I do pay attention when the enemy reveals his tactics. This has nothing to do with trying to validate my beliefs. If you don't want to hear what is going on within the New Age realm, that is certainly your choice, but please don't question my faith. There are people all around us who are being swayed by the deceptions of New Agers and Occultist, in fact, we have a whole generation of young people who are being totally indoctrinated with this evil deception. We can't reach them if we do not understand what they believe; Paul studied the beliefs of the people whom he witnessed to and used that knowledge to lead them to Christ. This included learning and speaking about the 'gods' that those people worshiped. These 'gods' were demons in disguise. I see no evidence that God faulted him for that, or that it indicated a weak faith. That being said, our first focus is always on Jesus. How that faith works out within each of us will be directed by Jesus, and Jesus alone.

I am grateful to great Christians such as Dave Hunt, Chuck Missler, and Walter Marten who spent their lives studying the things from 'Satan's camp' and sounded a clear warning to the Church about the Satanic deceptions that lead many astray. They certainly helped me avoid some of the pitfalls some of my fellow Christians fell into.

I think it's good to be aware of what the New Age is teaching and doing because ignorance isn't bliss, it simply means that Christians can accept and even welcome the New Age into their church without realizing what they invited in. This has happened and it's often very hard to boot things out when people get sucked into stuff like what Bethel church out of Redding California for example does. That church was and perhaps still is using "christian" tarot cards to help understand people better. They were caught in that a few years back.

A lot of Christians don't realize that certain prayer practices and meditations have landed in the pulpit via "christian" teachers that promote such things. We have a whole section of RF dedicated to the cults and what they teach so I'm not writing a whole book on it here. Including some personality profiling that may seem harmless enough in the workplace.

I go back to my late friend who was a preacher's kid. She looked, sounded and acted like a true Christian except that she liked horoscopes, she listened to some stupid fortune teller on TV and she thought that aliens were just aliens and deserved the benefit of the doubt. No matter what I said, about all 3 topics her ears were closed. I showed her scripture that forbade fortunes and such things as horoscopes etc. Deaf as a post to it. She wasn't the only one.

almost 40 years ago now, my neighbour across the street who went to the same church as me believed that Christians (she thought she was one) could reincarnate. I quoted the Bible to her about dying ONCE and explained that we have only one life, and we either choose Christ and live or die and go to hell. She was deaf to the Bible too.

We get everything we need from the Bible, but it pays to be aware of why things like aliens may be a demonic deception, why yoga for example isn't a benign stretching exercise and why we don't play with Ouiji boards, get our fortunes told or read the horoscope.

Athanasius you've reminded me of people who are just ignorant and simple minded, they go through life accepting certain things as the truth and no matter what is said they cannot see the truth or so it appears.
