Unashamed with Phil Robertson

I've read some of Phil's books, and they were pretty good.

Duck Dynasty is about a family of long-haired, country boy, Louisiana, Christian rednecks, who came up with a duck call that made them a fortune. At the end of each episode, they usually had a meal together and prayed in Jesus' name. But the name redneck is deceiving. Phil played college football and has a degree.
Yes, Phil has a Masters degree, and was the star quarterback in college. Guess who was his back up? NFL Hall of famer, former Pittsburgh Steeler, Terry Bradshaw.

After listening, I thought they were all three downplaying doctrine. I thought it simplistic to say that if a different group--Catholic, SDA--loves and believes in Jesus, they have no problem fellowshipping with them. They did not even reference what is believed about salvation.

When he comes, will he find faith? Luke 18:8

Yes, they are all on fire for Jesus, no doubt. But not sure I agree with their repeated comments in the video that thet have no problem fellowshipping with anyone who loves Jesus. Seems to me that that is a pretty broad category that leaves room for all kinds of people who claim Jesus but hold to false doctrines. By stressing how the pope's emissary loved Jesus and agreed with the basic facts of the gospel, it made it sound like, therefore, they had no problem with cooperating with them in the getting out of the gospel. I don't believe we are to minimize false doctrine in order to cooperate with false teachers.
