Ukraine has accused Russian forces of stealing cultural artifacts and animals as they were fleeing Kherson. 15,000 pictures were stolen from Kherson Art Museum, according to Sprotvy, a website affiliated with the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces. Sprtovy also claimed that the Russian forces have also taken plumbing fixtures, including toilets and household appliances.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has also made claims that Russian forces stole a raccoon as they fled Kherson. The ministry wrote on its Twitter account: "The occupiers stole everything from Kherson: paintings from art galleries, antiquities from museums, historic manuscripts from libraries. But their most prized loot was a raccoon they stole from a zoo. Steal a raccoon and Die."

Since Russia considers that area part of Russia now, one could say they're merely relocating those things.

It's interesting that putin hasn't moved to a nuclear option now that Ukraine is retaking territory that Russia officially made part of Russia.

It must be the Restrainer holding putin back, otherwise I can't think of a reason why he wouldn't use his nukes at this point.

So... Not to make light of anything.... But I'm still kind of hung up on them stealing a raccoon... Does Russia not have raccoons? I'm sure we could send them some...

Sorry, I was having a moment. A raccoon moment. But obviously the Russians are being barbaric.

My guess for the reason of stealing live animals from Kherson is to use these as a food source during the winter months. The Russian troops know they can not depend on their own leadership to supply them with what is needed to fight a war. Food, as well as other supplies, have been scarce for an army trying to win a war. Meanwhile, Putin hides in the Kremlin, eating alone at his big table, but not before the food testers make sure it is untainted. Not exactly a resume builder. "I was a food tester for Putin."

They could use the hide for a coonskin cap. :)
