Over 300 cases of rape by Russian forces, including of girls aged 12-16, were reported in Ukraine, Ukraine's Armed Forces alleged on Monday. "Russia is raping Ukraine," the military said. "They are bombing our cities, plundering, murdering, raping women." Russian soldiers are "rapists without any moral boundaries," the Ukrainian military claimed.

On Sunday, a picture emerged on social media showing the bodies of three women and one man piled under a blanket. The three women were all naked and had been partially burned, photographer Mikhail Palinchak claimed, according to The Guardian, fueling allegations that Russian forces are committing sexual violence against Ukrainian women, a war crime.

It's always the women, children, and elderly, who suffer most in war.

Besides the "normal" trauma of rape and wide/deep effects on marriages, which never completely goes away, at least some will end up pregnant and/or with incurable, deadly STDs, so there is a lifetime of reminder/suffering. If the woman chooses not to murder the baby, the stigma of carrying the enemy's child, and the stigma attached to that child for his/her entire life. For those married women, who happened to be trying for a child at the time of the invasion, not knowing until after birth, if her husband is the father. And the husband not knowing throughout the pregnancy if the baby is his or not. And the decision to keep or give up the baby after birth.
