UK General Election result

The UK General Election has now taken place and the results announced. I gave thanks to the Lord this morning because He has given this country more than we deserve :pray . The full results are here (BBC article).

I wanted to share some thoughts with you all. The conservatives have won a majority under the leadership of Boris Johnson. This is probably not a Christ - honouring government. But nor can we expect one, the country has in the most part rejected Christ. But He has given us more than we deserve. They are likely under Boris to be pro Israel :israel . The result could provide us with certainty around Brexit, an orderly departure and an end to the stalemate. The Conservatives should provide the conditions for a better economy and avoid some extremism. Labour have lost badly and lost a lot of seats. Had they won we would have had a hard-line Marxist government that essentially didn’t like the UK, and was sympathetic to terror, inc Palestinian. The economy would have done badly, property rights would have eroded and defence would have been seriously at risk. Immigration will continue but Labour would have encouraged muslim inward migration. They would also have been anti - Trump and USA. We have been saved from a nightmare. So I give thanks. :thumbup.

Less good news is the situation in Scotland. I am Scottish and British, and am worried by the surge in Scottish National Party support (SNP). They are a socialist party (no where near as extreme as Labour), but worryingly they are now more determined to break up the UK. I can post more on this sometime, but the Lord showed me a long time ago that their agenda is based on pride and their aim to break up a country is not godly or of Him. So this remains a threat and I pray that God will protect us from their schemes.

Praying that the Lord will give success to the new Government and give them wisdom.

It's a bit of a downer that many Scots are Europhiles, but on the bright side, that radical lady Swinson lost. lol

Could and should, but only time will tell wether it will come to pass.

Europe resembles a cancer with its tentacles firmly everywhere.
Would be surprised if they let the UK leave without another fight.
The Global Deep State is firmly entrenched everywhere that this looks like just a temporary setback. Perhaps they will be licking their wounds for a few years because we're still looking at a huge win for the Republicans next year, but after that they will come back stronger and more menacing. And by then, we will be seeing the early years of the End-Time Babylon.

You do know there were 1.1 million Brexit leavers in Scotland and given the electorate here is just short of 4 million, that's almost one third of the 'Yes' vote lost already. Given the 55/45 split last time out to remain, I fail to see a positive vote for leaving materialising if the SNP starting point is that they're 1.1 million votes down before it even begins.

Best part of the whole thing for me, well that and watching the marxist, terrorist & racist lose most of his seats too. :)

Yes, all is far from lost. As you noted on the Brexit thread, even Sturgeon admits that not everyone who voted for her wants independence.

Well said!

Prophetically, I expected this to occur that the following could come to pass eventually,

Ezekiel 38:13

“Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”

King James Version (KJV)

Ezekiel 38:13 Context

10Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. 13Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? 14Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? 15And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
