Two New Messages from Parler

Parler 01/21/[email protected]

Over the past few weeks, Parler has been repeatedly mischaracterized and treated unjustly. But the recent personal attacks on our CEO John, his wife Alina, and their family are reprehensible.
Alina, whose working-class family lived in the former Soviet Union, came to America to start her own multi-racial, interfaith family with John. To subject them to baseless accusations that their marriage is part of some twisted espionage scheme—all because she is an immigrant—is precisely the sort of “racism, nativism, fear, [and] demonization” President Biden urged us to reject in his inaugural address.
The Entire Parler Team stands behind John and Alina. Our new President called for unity: “We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal. We can do this, if we open our souls instead of hardening our hearts.” The smears against John and Alina are exactly the sort of tactics he is imploring us all to abandon. Let’s all commit to working together toward unity and healing.

We are disappointed by the judge’s ruling against our request for a preliminary injunction in our suit against Amazon AWS. We remain confident that we will ultimately prevail in the main case. We also remind everyone that this litigation is still in its early stages and that the resolution of this case will have broad implications for our pluralistic society.
Parler is gratified that the court refused to uncritically accept Amazon’s argument – widely repeated in the media – that the Parler platform was somehow used to plan, coordinate or execute the despicable January 6 riot at the Capitol.
Based on the evidence of which we are aware, the Parler platform was not used in that manner – even though competing platforms clearly were used for that purpose. We are grateful the court refused to join the dishonest attempt to make Parler the scapegoat for the riot.
At the same time, Parler is disappointed that the court’s ruling ignored the reality that every social-media platform – including Amazon’s own online store – sometimes unwittingly hosts content that incites violence or is otherwise inappropriate. In fact, our analysis shows that the incidence of such material on Parler is far lower than on competing platforms. Parler has developed an artificial intelligence-based enforcement system that we believe will reduce the incidence of such content still further.
Parler looks forward to working with old and new partners to reestablish an alternative social-media platform that not only avoids the unnecessary censorship that has become increasingly popular with its competitors, but is also more protective of public safety.

House Oversight chair asks FBI to investigate Parler

Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, House Committee on Oversight and Reform chair, on Thursday requested the FBI to investigate the social media platform Parler and any role it may have played in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
The New York Democrat wrote a letter to FBI Director Christopher A. Wray to ask that he investigate Parler, which was a platform that became popular with Trump supporters that felt unwelcome on larger social media apps such as Twitter and Facebook.
“I am writing to request that as part of its comprehensive investigation of the January 6 assault on the Capitol, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conduct a robust examination of the role that the social media site Parler played in the assault, including as a potential facilitator of planning and incitement related to the violence, as a repository of key evidence posted by users on its site, and as a potential conduit for foreign governments who may be financing civil unrest in the United States,” Ms. Maloney said in the letter.

Both Apple and Google removed Parler’s app from their app stores, and Amazon Web Services took the platform offline earlier this month, with the tech companies citing concerns about the consequences of harmful speech on Parler.
Ms. Maloney’s letter said her committee would conduct its own investigation of these matters, and she requested a meeting with FBI officials to better understand the scope of their relevant investigations.
Parler did not immediately respond to request for comment.

That's right, Ms. Baloney assumes before an investigation that Parler was a contributor to the assault on the Capitol, rather than asking for an investigation and then see what the results would be.

What they did to Trump for 4 yrs is what they're going to do to us.

For 4 yrs Trump was investigated and spied on.

If these evil communists want to take you down, they will look into all your affairs to try and find something they can use to take you down.

Big Brother is already here and foaming at the mouth.

Hopefully the CEO of Rumble hasn't been sipping on the wrong Kool Aid.

Many upsetting things have occurred over the last year. The natural reaction is to cast blame, or to jump to pre-mature conclusions.

We should, in the spirit of Parley, place aside our differences, place aside our biases of one another, and have a respectful conversation in order to improve our society. We shall check our baggage at the door, and start fresh with one another.

I believe everyone in the tech community, political, and others should put their differences aside to move forward together. -John Matze 1/24/21

When you control the narrative every lie is presumed true and lies about any conservative group, especially any competing with the progressive left, must be believed and the target destroyed.
Thankfully, the Christian can lay hold of the Eternal Narrative as found in God's Word, and should skillfully shoot the arrows found within.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;...
