Donald Trump Jr. is expected to visit Greenland on Tuesday, after his father, US President-elect Donald Trump, again expressed interest in gaining control over the vast Arctic island.

Trump, who takes office on Jan. 20, has signaled he would pursue a foreign policy unbound by diplomatic niceties, threatening to take control of the Panama Canal and statinglast month that US control of Greenland is an "absolute necessity."

The renewed interest in the Arctic island comes amid heightened tensions between Greenland and its former colonial ruler Denmark, prompted by revelations of misconduct by the latter and prompting calls for independence from Denmark by Greenland's prime minister.

I love 99% President Trump's policies, but this sort of blustering, threatening language adds to the false narrative of him being a dictator.

If nations hostile to the U.S. were to gain some type of influence in Panama that threatens access to the canal, that would cause quite a disturbance in the world's economy. We should be concerned and be proactive in making sure that doesn't happen. Making statements about the U.S. just taking control do nothing to help solve any potential problems. I prefer friendly diplomatic efforts first.

The Greenland acquisition is interesting. But how does one nation go about incorporating another without mutual consent? War cannot be an option.

Just thinking out loud here over a morning coffee..
Loose rhetoric about acquiring Greenland, Canada becoming a 51st state of America (although without Trudeau as Governor!), and today Trump saying he wants the Gulf of Mexico to be named the Gulf of America and ongoing 'discussion' about the Panama canal being US property.

Could this be early softening of public opinion with a moving towards becoming one of the ten regional 'Kingdoms' outlined in Daniel?
As far fetched as it sounds, before the fourth beast arises there needs to be 10 'Kings'. Are we on the cusp?

I think it is.

I know for a fact that I read an article in the late 90’s / early 2000’s that indicated that some piece of legislation was written and passed about the Canada / US / Mexico merger. In my opinion, it’s gonna happen. They’re planning for it.

It also nearly folds into the 10 kings prophecy.

I think you misunderstand how Trump negotiates and works towards a goal. It’s different from what we typically see out of the traditional State Dept negotiations. Which is VERY good.

I personally think it is. I’ve also noticed not many prophecy teachers have caught on to this. (Maybe it’s a little too early).

I have not commented here in a while. But after seeing this news I thought I’d pop in here to see if anyone is talking about this.

I’ve been a Trump supporter since 2016, but ever since his win in 2024, something feels off. Especially him being so close with Elon Musk.

We are led to believe Trump is anti-globalist and his trying to “drain the swamp”. But why has it not felt like that lately? This might sound far fetched to some here, but what if the enemy has him under his pocket and will use him to bring more globalizing just not in the way we thought it was going to happen?

Why is Trump so close to Musk? Somebody who is trying to launch starlink satellites around the globe? Same guy who is the founder of neurlink? Same guy who is leading the way of AI?

I’m not going to label anyone any certain title in the Bible because I don’t know. Now Trump is openly talking about acquiring more land to “expand” America?

Prophecy teachers have been speaking decades that the Daniel 7 / Revelation 13 description of the beast kingdom will be either 10 nations/region. So essentially the 196 current nations will merge to form 10 regions/nations.

What a coincidence Elon Musk is placed in a position of power in government alongside Trump as a task like this will require technological and AI help.

Again I’m thinking out loud. I don’t like the democrats, never did. But I’m also very unsure of the candidates who are about to take control as well.

Strange times indeed. We gotta keep our eyes on Christ alone.

I hope you are right!!

On another note, there is a story today on The Dailey Caller about Greenland being ready to listen to Trump's plan.

I view Trump's current Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal, Gulf of Mexico, etc. rhetoric as part of his "Art of the Deal". I don't think anyone in Congress and most of the US would support any form of military invasion of these areas, and it’s contrary to Trump's rhetoric about avoiding wars.

Regarding Greenland, the resources of Greenland are severely underutilized. Denmark, who essentially is in control of Greenland, has previously said they want to increase their use, but so far haven't. As a result Greenlanders want to break free from Denmark so that they can negotiate their own future and resources. These resources are significant and strategic. They include oil and precious metals. Trump and the US shouldn't want them to be under Russian or Chinese control.

I read a short article that Trump is suggesting a name change to the Gulf of Mexico as a possible means of circumventing a recent Biden Executive Order forbidding drilling in the "Gulf of Mexico". It doesn't forbid drilling in the "Gulf of America".

For the Panama Canal, it will somewhat depend on the wording of the various agreements. The canal was built to allow quicker passage of our military ships, among other uses, and as such is a vital strategic passageway. Allowing it to leave US control was foolishness. It’s claimed that China controls it now. I don't know if that's true, but at a minimum, China does have ports in that area. Not good. In my view the canal is a more critical issue than Greenland.

The Canadian problem may resolve itself after new elections now that Trudeau has "quit", sort of. Pierre what's-his-name has a good chance of being elected and realigning Canadian ideals to be more in line with what will be Trump's US ideals. We'll see.
