This may be true. However, a CHRISTIAN running for office ought to put God first and let Him decided whether or not he or she actually gets elected. If God wants a CHRISTIAN to win, they will. Period.
Exactly, my issue is Trump claims to be Christian and many are convinced he's born again. We need more men of God in leadership positions. Sadly, we have to settle for Worldly wicked men.

Folks running for office are running for office in this twisted world we live in. If they want to win they have to cast a wide net and make themselves favorable to as many constituents as possible. They're not running to be pastors or elders of a Christian church, but to be political leaders in this fallen world. I would expect all of us in the Body of Christ to be only partially comfortable with anyone running for political office who had a chance of winning. Just as we are dismayed with the darkness of this world, if a politician is not worldly, they're unlikely to win the position they seek, therefore we'll be at least partly dismayed by the things they say and the things they at least appear to support.
Then we shouldn't expect any born again Christian to get that far. I would assume then that anyone who gets that much power or leadership must automatically be of the World and not of Christ. The World loves their own. Try telling that to Christians who swear Trump is born again.

My opinion is that if our nation was fully Christian, we may see Christian presidents. I just can't see that now with how our culture is now. We have lukewarm "Christians" attacking Faithful ones. We're a mess.

Is this for real? I'm going to wait till the other shoe drops. As all of us know, there's a lot of fake news out there today, and I'm going to have to read it from a few more sources. Though I voted for him two times, Mr. Trump is not my candidate of choice. Still, I personally think that any Democrat who 'might' be thinking of running has a lot to gain from a story like this.
Here is another source from Newsweek. https://www.newsweek.com/trump-tells-gay-supporter-you-dont-look-gay-maralago-fundraiser-1693931

What happened to the Trump that believed in religion freedom and was seeking the council of Christians? It is political self sabotage to seek the LGBT vote. They are not going to vote for him anyway. I really doubt Trump wants to be President again. When he made his announcement, he seemed to have a “do I really want to do this” attitude. Then he started this whole super hero card nonsense, which seems a bit embarrassing. After all he has been through, it seems like he is losing it.

Yes, Janice, unfortunately I found another source for this story as well. I think most of us never really knew Mr. Trump. I was pleased with his kindness toward Israel and the change in location of the US Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. Sometimes I think it's easy to attribute positive traits to a person when we see them doing some things that we agree with & not look as long at their actions that we're somewhat uncomfortable with, i.e., his son-in-law.

I really have to wonder if we've all been played far worse than we will ever know on this earth.
I know what you mean look at the apostasy :thumbdown :thumbdowngoing on in the church. It makes you wonder how many were just playing church or going to be divisive. :wolf The :bibletells us some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. Some so-called Christians even dabble in the occult or in a cult.

Trump lost me way back when he had his lackeys do a land for peace barter. Even as a slight of hand it was at the very heart of the deal, an attempt to divide God's land.

If he's the only option aside from whatever monster the D's vomit out, I'll have to hold my nose, swallow a dramamine, famotadine and a good head ache reliever and check the R's box.

It's become a true choice between two evils.

About being “fooled” or played — it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Trump has had friendliness toward homosexuality. No one should feel played about that bc he didn’t hide it.
Ric Grenell (fierce homosexual) was a major part of his Admin after all.

However I really didn’t think, he would go so far as to throw a huge gala in his home in the face of God. Maybe this is a case of someone receiving a lot of light and then shunning it.
Giving them over? I really don’t know.

Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
Trump’s support for the LGBT go back 20 years.

From article at link:
Advocate: Why should gays and lesbians be interested in you as a presidential candidate?
Donald Trump:
I grew up in New York City, a town with different races, religions, and peoples. It breeds tolerance. In all truth, I don’t care whether or not a person is gay. I judge people based on their capability, honesty, and merit. Being in the entertainment business — that is, owning casinos and … several large beauty pageants — I’ve worked with many gay people. I have met some tough, talented, capable, terrific people. Their lifestyle is of no interest to me.
