The Terrifying Existence of the Tribulation Saint

Sadly, many churches today glorify the life of the Tribulation Saint. These people came to the knowledge of Christ sometime after the Rapture of the church. They may have heard of the gospel pre-rapture, but never paid serious attention to its claims. They are also those who will suffer during the Great Tribulation, unless they are sheltered in Petra during those final years. But for the most part, many Tribulation Saints will face martyrdom. These churches who deny the pre-tribulation rapture look at these people as models to emulate for the near future. Nothing can be further than the truth.

When Scripture declares in Revelation 14:13- And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them- this indeed is a serious matter.

Thankfully, those in Christ reading this will be at the Marriage Supper, while...

(Three years later, the Great Tribulation...)

You and your traveling group look up for helicopters, drones and surveillance vehicles. You vaguely remember piloting a toy drone back in the days before this calamity; now they are hunting you down. Having lost over twenty pounds, a mouthful of dried grass sounds marvelous- and fetid water wrung from a dingy cloth is exquisite. You cover your face to prevent breathing in the polluted, radioactive air. At least the levels have dropped.

After searching car wreckage for anything edible, you continue to look for roving patrols, tattletale individuals, and face recognition devices. Constant announcements fill the air for the Antichrist's next worship session. Those things never stop. You have a headache because you are so hungry, but your group has to keep going- one of them was captured last week, and you are sure they did not survive. The next objective? Survive. Find a place to hide, and wait for the Lord's Return. At least we know when He is returning.

You accepted Christ after your city was evaporated in a nuclear blast. All this when the Antichrist, angry at the Mighty Ten, declared war. Why would he do that? We loved him! Now, he calls himself God Almighty and there are images and statues of him everywhere. It is freezing out, and no one dares to go near that bait house. You don't know what those are? Places to entice, fool, and torture Christians, or equip Citizens to hunt them down.

Citizens are those who accepted the mark, and are entitled to daily rations. However, these rations... can you really call this food? Most of it is recycled, processed materials hardly seasoned to resemble anything like food, but there are rumors that top bounty hunters earn the best meals when they bring in their captives, or kills. Some have even met the Antichrist himself. Then, there are those involved in cannibalism...

The new entity started these when the Antichrist invaded Jerusalem. They offer food for information to the capture of any Jew, or Christian. The mark is being issued, and in every city there are large, metal dumpsters containing only what is feared: the bodies of the decapitated.

At this bait house, you are executed as a saint; rewarded as a Citizen. It's tough out here. After being bitten by terrible insects, suffered for five months in excruciating pain while your nervous system was on fire, and went through the most awful sulfur odors and fire when these demons... don't want to think about it.

Nothing is recognizable anymore- especially after the earthquake. Everything was dark, except the moon, which was huge, full and dark red. There are still nightmares about that. You know your Lord now, but still afraid to die. And so, so hungry... Citizens aren't really... citizens. They are evil, rampaging remnants of what used to be people. When they accepted that mark, they took on an entirely new level of madness, plus the terrible sores that appeared all over their bodies afterwards. Words cannot express...

Like their ruler, everything is madness. He shed every pretense of dignity or humanity- a raging, angry individual who you fear isn't even human anymore. Especially when his sidekick, who started the new religion caused fire to fall from the heavens. This world is an ugly, miserable place. The stench of death and putrid smoke is everywhere. Cities were hastily constructed from the quake ruins, and resemble nothing of what was seen before the disappearances years ago. They are unpleasant, uncomfortable, and hideous.

The only exception is the World Capital, but only selected Citizens can live and work there. It is the last place on earth resembling anything decent.

All of this is just too much to take- and day by day, they get angrier and angrier. There is no comfort, love or decency anymore. A few days ago, this terrible, new odor filled the air. Rumors are all water sources are now blood. People are drinking their own urine.

You hardly even remember what that past life was like- before those people disappeared- but feel stupid for not listening. And you have to keep going...

This is the terrifying reality of the Tribulation Saint during those last three and a half years.

Why did you start your writing close to the mid tribulation period, vice the beginning of the entire 7 year tribulation?
The first article focused on what one would experience after the Rapture before knowing Christ, and seeing the unprecedented events leading up to the midpoint. So the second article focuses on the believer, after going through all the judgments of the first half experiencing the intense bowl judgments of the Great Tribulation, with little details of previous events. This is to emphasize contrasts between both periods.

Thanks for explaining. The seal and trumpet judgements will decimate the planet. And then, its gets even worse as you depicted.

Let's not forget God's mercies and God's judgments.

A group of believers huddle together for warmth in what was once a lush, thick forest. The last bombing had set afire all the trees and surrounding foliage. Most of the animals are dead, and those unlucky enough to survive are stark-raving mad. They must be for they have not fed in days, and behind the scenes Satan's angels are driving them mad. Among the things the believers are worrying about -- and praying for -- is that they do not run into one of these beasts. Or at least, they pray, let it not be a carnivore. One of the brethren reaches into her pocket and produces a half-eaten packet of M&M's. The calories are not an issue since they have not eaten for three days now, and seeing one of those colored candies feels like a blessing from Heaven. Overjoyed, the believers say a quick prayer of thanks as she distributes the leftover meager morsels. They begin to crunch the meals, but suddenly stop to listen -- they hear the rumbling cadence of running footsteps accompanied by the sound of weapons being cocked.

In a moment multiple red dots have affixed themselves to their heads and chest. "You're under arrest for sedition in the name of the Supreme Leader!", bellows the commanding officer, outfitted with a battle-dress uniform and strapped with sidearms. "This is it!" one of the believers cry. "We're going home!" But before a shot can be fired, another sound is heard. The soldiers stop for a moment and turn their heads toward the loud sound which can only be described as a cacophony of screams compounded with the sound of many helicopters. Soon, one of the soldier screams, and the commanding officer instinctively turns his head towards his companion. He cannot believe what he sees -- large insects, as big as his fist -- armed with a scorpion's venomous tail and vibrating wings making the loud sound are attacking him and his troops! Equally as bewildering is that these things are leaving the believers alone...

Five months is a long, long time to be attacked by these beasts, and you cant die. Although they want to die to put and end to the attacks, they cant.
We all understand how torturous this would be, but the pain inflicted by these attacks would be considered a light day in Hell, and thats for eternity.

We need to help many before its too late, and they have to go through these judgments.

Sounds great, especially since it takes place before the midpoint of the Tribulation, where things are still relatively 'calm.' Hopefully there will be more instances like these when Tribulation Saints, through prayer experience God's unexpected miracles through those judgments.

How about during the Bowl Judgments when God curses the city of the Beast with absolute darkness, but grants the believers who are trapped / undercover there the ability to see so they can get out of the place.
