The Sword of Destiny

Some Catholics believe that this is an actual archeological piece that is what Roman soldiers used to do Jesus in. They broke the others' legs but not Jesus. This was the move that actually killed him and water came out when he was stabbed in the ribs. I would like to know if you know anything about the Sword of Destiny

To be accurate, what actually "killed" Jesus was when He said "It is finished" and *gave up* the ghost. He died when He was good and ready, after He finished His Father's Business. He had already died by the time they stuck Him with the spear. :preach

Here's an article on Wikipedia about it.

Holy Lance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The lance (Greek: λόγχη, lonchē) is mentioned only in the Gospel of John (19:31–37) and not in any of the Synoptic Gospels. The gospel states that the Romans planned to break Jesus' legs, a practice known as crurifragium, which was a method of hastening death during a crucifixion. Just before they did so, they realized that Jesus was already dead and that there was no reason to break his legs. To make sure that he was dead, a Roman soldier (named in extra-Biblical tradition as Longinus) stabbed him in the side.

The Passover lamb which is a representation of the Savior must never have any broken bones. Yeshua chose to lay down His life for us and He dismissed His spirit the moment the atonement for our sins was complete. That He was pierced rather than having a His legs broken was a fulfillment of Psalm 34:20. "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken."
