EU can no longer afford national vetoes on foreign policy, - Germany's Scholz

BERLIN (Reuters) - The European Union can no longer afford to keep national vetoes when deciding on European Union foreign and security policy if it wants to maintain a leading role in global politics, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said.

Moscow's war in Ukraine makes unity in Europe ever more urgent and increases pressure for an end to "selfish blockades" of European decisions by individual member states, Scholz said in an article published by the Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper on Sunday.

"We simply can no longer afford national vetoes, for example in foreign policy, if we want to continue to be heard in a world of competing great powers," he added.

Its interesting to go back many years in this same section on the forum, and see all the coments from 10-15 years ago by members, where many believed the OWG was imminent.

As has been stated by many already, there is no concrete scriptural evidence of just when these events might coincide or not. My opinion, and it's just an opinion based on what I've seen and continue to see happening at home and abroad, I think things might get tougher and much closer to the formation of a owg than we'd be comfortable with. This opinion doesn't frighten me, it just draws me closer to God in praying for protection and provision and above all, asking for His guiding hand to be on me and mine in such a way as to bring Him glory and more newly saved in Christ before I go home one way or the other.

The title of this thread reminds me of a character Tim Conway played on the old Carrol Burnett show “the oldest man”. His character talked slow, shuffled forward at a painstakingly slow pace, never looking like he would get anywhere. But, in the end, he would reach his destination.

Globalists have been in a decades long slow shuffle to reach their dreams of a OWG, and like Tim, in the end, they will achieve it.

I always loved the old man skits. Especially the ones when he was a doctor and a firefighter.

I wonder what or how much changes we come with his Klaus so called "Fourth Industrial Revolution":

You will own nothing and be happy. If you're one of the fortunate ones to remain alive as they find ways to cull the human population, you'll serve the small "elite" class of individuals who decide where you'll work, what you'll wear, what you can eat or not eat. It's not a bright future after they've gotten their way.

That is the dreams of Klaus. Suppose the OWG is formed after the rapture, do you think when the AC arises he will care what Klaus thinks? Its quite possible the AC once he is in power will quickly eliminate anyone he deems capable of sharing the spotlight, or a perceived threat.

I won't be here when the A/C is in a position to make the calls. I'm already feeling the pain from the globalists leading the world to their goal. I've always thought that the A/C wouldn't be kind to any high up lieutenants who might feel entitled on account of all they've done to prepare the world for him... kind of like the way it's depicted in the Left Behind book series. Of course, that's just a hunch.

I suspect you are right about this. Dictators always distrust everyone around them and will use whomever they can to gain power and once in power tend to eliminate any perceived threats. Of course this will be the dictator of dictators - the A/C and he will be ruthless! If you want to understand where Klaus Schwab gets his ideas about the "Fourth Industrial Revolution" look at an Israeli history teacher named Yuval Noah Harari. He has a website and has authored a number of books. He is an atheist who claims that "history started when man invented god and will end when man becomes god." He has also stated that "Jesus Christ raised from the dead is fake news." This is where they get their ideas from and if you read some of his stuff it is scary. He also says that government surveillance used to be done from above, in the future it will be conducted in people (mark of the beast). These people are wicked to the core!

Come quickly Lord Jesus!

He's a nasty one, eliminating 3/10 kings just for openers on his rise to the top. If any of our current round of globalist bad guys (Soros, Schwab, Macron etc) has the opportunity to be close to him during his rise, they'll regret it even before he arranges their death.

That's one of the things I think those "Left Behind" movies got right. Their version of the a/c was supposedly brought to the top by those two global elites and they thought they owned him and could use him for their own gain but the a/c was in charge the whole time.

I have no idea if we're actually at that point for a world government or not. There still seems to be too much backlash against it. I think only something disastrous (for the world) like the Rapture would bring over the dissenters.

I read where the beginnings of "own nothing" have started in companies such as BMW, which plan to make consumers pay $18 month to have heated seats in their cars. Eventually all the things we "own" will not really be ours because of ongoing subscriptions needed to keep items up to date.

In regard to the "own nothing and be happy", a few years back I watched a video where it explained the idea will apply to all items and then it went on to talk about one item, a light bulb. But in the video it wasn't a wacko like Schaub selling the idea and I can see how this world could fall for it and even desire it to a degree.

The guy said that that the light bulb currently is single use item and wasteful in that regard. He said if we were given bulbs on regular intervals and then allowed ________ to get the old ones back, they could refurbish the old ones to make new again. Apprently they could use some of the old tungsten and the rest of the components which would be less harmful on the planet and cheaper than constructing a new one.

Hard to tell if it will come to fruition and just how far it will go.
