The Rapture Report – Brain chips to be tested on humans this year, Elon Musk says

In another sign that the “transhumanism” movement is gaining ground, it is being reported that Elon Musk is on record saying that his Neuralink company is expecting to implant its first chip in a human later this year.
A Jerusalem Post article reports:
“Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk expects his brain-chip startup Neuralink to start its first human trial this year, he said on Friday in France.
Speaking at the VivaTech event in Paris, co-founder Musk said Neuralink plans to implant a tetraplegic or paraplegic patient during a webcast monitored by Reuters. While Musk didn’t specify how many patients his company would implant or for how long, “it’s looking like the first case will be later this year,” said Musk, who is also CEO of electric carmaker Tesla, social media platform Twitter and the SpaceX rocket launch company.
Last month, Neuralink said it received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its first-in-human clinical trial, a critical milestone for the startup as it faces US probes over its handling of animal experiments. The FDA acknowledged in an earlier statement to Reuters that the agency cleared Neuralink to use its brain implant and surgical robot for trials but declined to provide more details.”
Elon’s plan to start putting chips in people’s brains did not happen without problems as noted here:
Last year, Neuralink employees told Reuters the company was rushing and botching surgeries on monkeys, pigs and sheep, resulting in more animal deaths than necessary, as Musk pressured staff to receive FDA approval. The animal experiments produced data intended to support the company’s application for human trials, the sources said.
In one instance in 2021, the company implanted 25 out of 60 pigs with the wrong-sized devices. All the pigs were subsequently killed – an error that employees said could have been easily avoided with more preparation.
After reading this article, it is not far fetched to see that there can and will be serious ethical and technological issues that result from carrying out these transhumanism experiments. I sure would not want to be one of these Guinea pigs that gets to be the first to try out these new chips.
It is simply amazing that man continues to try to play the “God” game with his advances in medicine and technology. I remember reading in the Bible where it says that back in the days of Genesis 11 and the Tower of Babel that man united together to try to create their own way to Heaven and to bypass God’s judgment altogether:
“Now the whole world had one language and a common form of speech. And as people journeyed eastward,a they found a plain in the land of Shinarb and settled there. And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar.
“Come,” they said, “let us build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.” Then the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men were building. And the LORD said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond them. Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”
So the LORD scattered them from there over the face of all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it is called Babel, for there the LORD confused the language of the whole world, and from that place the LORD scattered them over the face of all the earth.” – Genesis 11:1-9.
We see once again with the technological revolution that man has invented ways to translate languages so that with a simple smart phone one can communicate easily with others who don’t speak the same language. With the advent of the computer, man can do a lot more work than he was able to do in the past. Supercomputers and AI will help man make advances that would have be impossible or taken a long time to do.
Mankind appears to be trying to return to his own Tower of Babel and to create his own Heaven. Mankind will try to use transhumanism to make himself like little gods. They will try to extend their lifespan and I believe that if left to their devices, mankind will be successful to some extent. But God knows that He can’t allow this. Man needs a remedy for sin and no number of technological advances will be able to deal with the sin problem. Only God can solve the sin problem, which He has already done through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
The best man can do is to extend his life and end up in a permanent state of sinfulness that will ultimately not end well. Surely God will intervene sometime soon and put this craziness to an end. As the Bible says, there appears a way that seems right to man, but leads to destruction. This is true of false religions, transhumanism, and a good number of other things.
Mankind needs Jesus Christ and the perfect salvation he offers.
