I’m not a gambler, but if you asked me to pick up the dice and roll ’em, I’m going to tell you America is done. No single issue prompts me to say that, but rather many of them.

America is hurtling down a steep one-way road with no U-Turn on the map. It is experiencing a comprehensive and catastrophic moral collapse. Read Romans 1:18-32. It’s basically today’s news, and it makes one point clear: America is so far gone that it’s already experiencing the wrath of God. It is done.

I don’t see any valid “if’s” on this issue anymore. The most qualified questions are those that responsibly weigh the “when’s” and “how’s.” America is now marinated in lies and depravities of the sort that – not long ago – used to cower in the closet and carefully pick their disguises before daring to crack the door."

Kind of knew that last year but yeah. We are basicailly living on God's borrow time before it runs out.

Seems to me that it is difficult to come up with the truth when it is difficult to find any reliable news. Things may not seem right, but what is driving them in the direction they are going?

America has been flirting with disaster for at a minimum the last 60 years. I think it started with prayer being removed from schools and Bible reading being stopped in public schools. I’ve always felt that after those two events the assassination of JFK signaled the opening of the floodgates and downward trajectory of this country. We’ve pretty much hit bottom. The leaders of this country have gotten progressively worse after Reagan and the only bright spot in the presidential parade was Donald Trump. Unlike the rest he was willing and able to put America first. I think he was God’s breather for the country after 8 years of Obama’s march into communism. Now are on a greased skid to destruction with no improvement in sight. So, barring something unexpected, as a country America is toast.

I always look at it beyond the human side of things. Eph 6: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Satan and his minions are able to craft plots and conspiracies that mesh so well that they do look like one mind is driving it all.

And in fact it is exactly so.

The only thing that gets in the way of that bad actor is The Restrainer, The Holy Spirit, acting thru the church in this present age.

I have been feeling the same way about Canada. Just today I had been talking with my husband how Justin Trudeau had spoken harshly against Israel several times --essentially cursing it. That was certainly a signal for doom. I remember hearing how the Venezuelan president had cursed Israel shortly before it crashed and became what it is today. I love my country so it is painful to see. But, as my husband likes to point out, the Bible does say that "blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted". The mourning is in reference to seeing the sin and evil in the world and to be sad over it and knowing what it could be.

I agree. Sometimes I think if the 2020 election had gone the other way, we might have seen some progress in turning things around. But now the evil one has doubled the wickedness and I see no turning back.
