The Federal Reserve is open to creating a digital dollar

(This is it. If this goes through it's a matter time for a global central bank of all digital currency.)

The Federal Reserve finally released a much-delayed paper yesterday opining on the pros and cons of developing its own central bank digital currency (CBDC), but without coming to any firm conclusions.

Why it matters: Around the world, there are now 23 CBDCs either in pilot or formally launched. They have morphed from a theoretical concept into real-world digital cash, changing the way governments and millions of people use money — but not in the U.

Between the lines: Although the Fed's paper doesn't advocate one way or another on whether the U.S. should begin development, the language used in the paper indicates that it’s very open to the idea, Josh Lipsky, director at the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center, tells Axios

I'm thinking that with regards to the USA, if any branch of govmint has the authority to authorize a new type of currency, it would be Congress, and specifically the House of Representatives. The Fed making such comments would be reason enough to fire everyone in the Fed and either start over or abolish the Fed (in a sane world).

Sounds like they are heading for cashless. OWG/OWR=New World Order! There will be New World Order when Jesus comes back to rule and reign.
“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."

Once they have a digital currency they will have the ability to monitor and control all transactions. No more cash transactions. Just think, if you exceed your carbon allotment for the day/week/month or if your social credit score doesn’t comport with their woke standards they can shut you off or dictate your spending (of your money that you earned and payed taxes on).

Now there is a stable digital currency technology that promises to cure inflation once and for all.

The temptation of inflation free digital currency may just be too great for voters to resist.

I'm very skeptical about any type of currency with a claim it can eliminate inflation. Additionally, there's Scriptural evidence for inflation all the way into Tribulation.

We all knew digital currency was bad.

In and of itself, it isn't bad. It's a unit that simplifies trading between individuals and entities. Most of my transactions are digital and it simplifies transactions.

It's value can be automatically updated to keep up with inflation

That's an interesting statement. If that were the case then it would constantly require revaluation because everytime it was revalued prices would rise accordingly. Revaluation would be constantly in motion which would likely crash the economic system. If it is only digital and not convertable to paper, at least we wouldn't need a wheel barrow to buy a few ounces of rice. Then there's the reality that the govmint inflation numbers, at least in the USA, are grossly under-stated and have been since they (the govmint) started doctoring the numbers on account of the runaway inflation in the 70s.

It’s so important that we pray, vote and pray some more!
