The ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ Progressive Gestapo
How its insane agenda is dividing – and destroying – America.
By Joseph Klein

The left-wing progressives, who are the driving force of today’s Democratic Party, view America through the lens of group identity. They portray white heterosexual males as evil oppressors who have supposedly used their alleged systemic monopoly of political and economic power to victimize people of color, women, and the LGBTQ+ community. The Left believe that a Maoist-style cultural revolution is the required corrective, which is where their “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) agenda comes in.

President Biden frequently calls Americans who believe that America comes first “MAGA extremists” whom he says pose a danger to America. But it is the DEI progressive extremists who pose the real danger to America as we know it. They want to use their DEI programs as a Trojan horse to fundamentally transform America’s schools, government agencies, military, and much of the private sector through indoctrination in group identity dogma and race-based entitlement.

In the Orwellian dystopia that the progressive Left want to create to replace America’s constitutional republic, “diversity” means division into oppressor and oppressed identity groups. Diversity of thought is not tolerated. “Equity” means replacement of individual responsibility and self-actualization on one’s own merit with race-based entitlement. “Inclusion” applies only to the favored identity groups designated by the ruling authorities.

“The choice is between normal or crazy,” Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in her televised response to President Biden’s 2023 State of the Union address.

The DEI progressive extremists are trying to impose their craziness on the rest of us. The “I” in their DEI programs should really stand for insanity.

Most Americans believe, based on clear biological scientific evidence, that it is fundamentally unfair to allow transgender girls and women to exploit their anatomical and physiological advantages over biological girls and women in sports competitions.

According to a recent poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) and The Washington Post, for example, more than 60 percent of Americans are opposed to allowing trans women and girls to compete in sports against biological women and girls.

DEI progressive extremists, on the other hand, demand in the name of “inclusion” and “diversity” that transgender females must be able to compete in women’s and girls’ sports against biological females. These extremists are anti-science. And they are misogynists.

Most Americans believe in the crucial role that parents should play in the upbringing, emotional development, and education of their children.

Recent polling results released by the Parents Defending Education, for example, show that “74% of registered voters believe schools should not help students change their gender identity without parental consent, compared to 18% of registered voters believe schools should.” Moreover, “71% of registered voters oppose letting schools withhold information about a child’s gender identity from their parents, while only 21% support this policy.”

Furthermore, according to the poll results, “78% of registered voters agree with the statement ‘A child changing his or her gender identity has major long-term medical and psychological ramifications. Parents should know, and have an opportunity to be involved in, such an important aspect of their child’s well-being.’”

The DEI progressive extremists, on the other hand, believe that the nation’s children belong to the state. Parents should just “shut up,” as a Democrat New Hampshire state legislator put it. The DEI progressive extremists want to take over the impressionable minds of the parents’ kids to indoctrinate them with gender identity and critical race theory dogma. These extremists aim to destroy the nuclear family.

Most Americans believe that merit and willingness to work hard are the primary ingredients for success in America. They believe that equality of opportunity should not mean guaranteed equal outcomes. Nor should extending a helping hand to the truly needy mean perpetual government handouts that foster lifelong dependency rather than personal responsibility.

“Nearly two-thirds of Americans — including half of Democrats — back work requirements for Medicaid and Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program benefits,” according to a recent Axios-Ipsos poll. This is consistent with the work requirement for recipients who are able bodied adults younger than fifty-six years of age and without dependents, which is included in the debt ceiling bill the House passed last month.

“Americans have a long-standing belief in the value of work. Consequently, when presented with work requirements for government aid, particularly aid most people don’t personally access, we see majorities supporting the policy change,” said Cliff Young, president of Ipsos U.S. Public Affairs.

DEI progressive extremists, on the other hand, reject such work requirements in the name of “equity.” They believe in an entitlement society. For example, contrary to any shred of rational thought, Rep. Ro Khanna, a leading progressive Democrat in the House of Representatives, claimed that “Work requirements don’t make people work more. What it does is deprive of folks who need the help. It’s just cruel.”

Pennsylvania’s Democrat Senator John Fetterman claimed that a plan meant to move people towards achieving self-sufficiency, gained from their own job earnings without losing their government support in the meantime, somehow “pushes people into poverty.”

The DEI progressive extremists believe in entitlement and perpetual dependence on the government for handouts instead of fostering a work ethic and the individual dignity that comes from taking personal responsibility for one’s own life.

But the insanity does not stop there. Not by a longshot. DEI progressive extremists are demanding reparations in the trillions of dollars to compensate black Americans today for the past bad acts of long-dead wrongdoers against long-dead victims.

House Democrat “Squad” member Cori Bush from Missouri introduced a resolution in support of reparations. She charged that “the Black-White wealth gap” of “$14 trillion” was due to “our federal government’s role in the enslavement and exploitation of Africans or Black people throughout our history.” Other Squad members such as Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib from Michigan chimed in. Tlaib said that a true belief in “equity” means making sure that “reparations is part of the movement towards equitable distribution of resources.”

Left-wing states and cities around the country have proposed reparations programs of their own.

Most Americans do not believe that white people living today should bear collective guilt and pay unaffordable reparations to black people living today as compensation for slavery that ended nearly 160 years ago with the Civil War. At least 110,100 Union Army troops died and 275,174 were wounded during the Civil War, a priceless sacrifice of life and limb to vanquish the Southern slaveocracy. Giving out windfalls, paid for by people who had nothing to do with the wrongdoing that occurred many generations ago, to other people based solely on the color of their skin trivializes these sacrifices. And it further divides Americans by race.

Most Americans also do not believe that white people living today should bear collective guilt and pay unaffordable reparations to black people living today for legalized segregation that prevailed in the bygone Jim Crow era.

The DEI progressive extremists have a completely different take to justify their call for massive reparations. They dwell on the “legacy” of slavery and the Jim Crow laws that followed, which they claim have entrenched systemic racism and white supremacism in America today. The result, the DEI progressive extremists charge, is a huge wealth gap between black people and white people that reparations to black individuals are necessary to narrow.

Most Americans agree that years of racial discrimination have caused harm to many black Americans, even with the substantial progress that America has made in redressing these harms through civil rights laws, affirmative action, and multi-trillion-dollar federal aid programs. There remains substantial support among the American people to continue government spending on education, work training, housing, health, and welfare programs to enable further improvements in the lives of black people and other marginalized groups.

Nevertheless, most Americans reject the DEI progressive extremists’ call for reparations in the form of cash payouts to black individuals and other race-based entitlements. A 2021 poll conducted by the Pew Research Center, for example, found that 68 percent of the U.S. adults surveyed did not support reparations for the descendants of people enslaved in the United States.

Going down the reparations path would open a Pandora’s box. Who would be next in line with their hands out for cash reparations?

Progressive Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren, who once claimed to be a Native American herself, has already opened the door to considering reparations for Native Americans. Would that mean the descendants of the Indian tribe who supposedly sold Manhattan for $24 worth of goods to the Dutch in 1626 should receive reparations equivalent to the land’s estimated value today – $1.4 trillion?

Who knows how far the DEI progressive extremists would be willing to go with their insane policy agenda? Normal Americans cannot afford to find out.

Whenever I read the voters guide before an election and see those three words under the candidate's statement, I immediately draw a big X across the page, especially if they add things like BLM or the terms racist or reparations.
Exactly what I will do if the Lord should tarry!
