It'll only be needed for the last three and a half years of the Trib, so no need to work too hard on it. I believe blockchain will be built into it, so not just anyone off the street can duplicate it. Also, people who become brethren during the Trib may be able to counterfeit it to a point so they can, to a degree, walk somewhat freely in that upcoming dystopian society for whatever God wants them to do. When The King returns it will no longer be necessary, and we'll be back to a regular, proper economy.
