Syria vows to 'liberate' the Golan

The Syrian government on Friday vowed to recover the Golan Heights after US President Donald Trump said it was time to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the region, Reutersreports.

Damascus said on Friday the Golan would remain “Syrian, Arab” and added that Trump had shown contempt for international law.

“The Syrian nation is more determined to liberate this precious piece of Syrian national land through all available means,” the Syrian government said, according to Reuters.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu welcomed Trump's announcement on Thursday and described it as a "Purim miracle."

The Arab world, unsurprisingly, condemned the move. Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said in criticizing the move that “The territorial integrity of states is the most fundamental principle of international law.”

“Attempts by the US to legitimize Israel's actions against international law will only lead to more violence and pain in the region. Turkey supports Syria's territorial integrity,” he added.

The Arab League also rejected Trump’s announcement, saying it fully supports Syrian sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

PLO Secretary General Saeb Erekat, meanwhile, claimed the move would result in regional “destabilization and bloodshed”.

That's not Syria's land, it was originally part of Israel back in Bible times (Jesus was teaching about the "gates of hell" in that area, He sailed on the Sea of Galilee just below it, it was the place that the Northern Kingdom set up an alternative temple area, and it belonged to Dan) and when Israel formed in 1948 Syria used that land to attack Israel from the heights. Israel took it back in 67, gave part up, was attacked again and again, each time the borders were back and forth.

Because Syria refused over the decades to quit shelling innocent farmers in the kibbutzes below them in the valley around the Sea of Galilee, the IDF has had to take and hold the land.

It has become an impossibility to give it back ever again from a survival standpoint. But of course the UN doesn't care, nor do the usual chorus of Israel hating nations care.

And no country ever has had to put up with regular attacks without going in and taking and holding the land permanently. For some strange reason Russia taking over the Crimean peninsula and ripping it out of it's rightful owners the Ukraine, without ANY attack by the Ukrainians is completely ignored by the world. But let Israel try to defend itself, and the whole world is in an uproar, demanding that the tiny little strip of land in the sea of Arab states give up, roll over and play dead while the Arabs move in to murder them.

If the Arabs lay down their weapons there will be peace, but if the Jews lay down their weapons, there will be no more Israel. It is as simple as that. This is one of those suicide borders that Obama was trying to insist on.

The reason this is becoming important is because the OIL and GAS reserves under this spot are what RUSSIA wants. So Russia is encouraging the Syrian president Bashar Al Assad to demand it back.

And we all know what Ezekiel has to say about that in his 38th chapter.

Definitely right about the natural gas and oil reserves.
Ever since Israel was reestablished it has had a bullseye on her back.
Their resources are one of the major reasons the other is because Satan absolutely hates the Jews for obvious reasons.
The epitome of holding a grudge will go to Satan.
