Space Travel after the Rapture

I agree that Elon Musk and others like him may try to continue the move to Mars. But after the Rapture he will have just as much debt as before but fewer people to pay that debt. And they will have to contend with the AC, who has a totally different goal.
I strongly suspect that the human space program will be over after things settle down after the Rapture.

I just had a thought. What about the astronauts in space or on space stations after the rapture. Will anyone think to try and get them back on earth, or will they be left up there? :scratch

That's going to depend on how many Christians are working for SpaceX and NASA.

If they are going to get them, the first 3 1/2 will need to be the time.

Ghoti Ichthus

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20

Maybe (hopefully) all the astronauts, cosmonauts, etc. will be saved, so non-issue.

Except if the ISS or other stuff in orbit falls. :hmmm

I just finished watching "Mars" on Disney +. It is sort of a combination of a documentary and a SciFi.
I grew up in Florida and paid a whole lot of attention to space shots. I looked forward to space shots and used to really document the shot. I used to be a fan of space and thought we would be on Mars by 2000.
But since I accepted the concept of Rapture I have thought about this a bunch. Christians will be gone and many countries will experiance serious disorder and reorganization. Our national debt is through the roof and sustaining it may be impossible after the Rapture. The debt stays the same but now there will be far fewer people to pay it. With Christians gone there will be thousands and thousands of deserted cars and houses. I believe this will trigger a real estate recession and cut the selling price of used cars.
And the AC wants everyone left to worship him. I don't think space exploration will be part of his plans. Exploring space is very expensive and there will be fewer people to pay the big bill.
So my thought on this is space travel will move to the back burner. I don't think we will be going to Mars anytime soon.
What are your thoughts about this?
How about 7 years after the rapture? It could still be possible in the millennium. I mean, I don't think Jesus will require us to keep the world as it was in Bible times. Who knows, He may tell us how to crack gravity thus enabling space travel without the need for tons of rocket fuel...

Can't see it myself not even sure they'll be planes, could be my unusual thinking.

I can imagine that one of the cover stories used to explain the Rapture will be a mass abduction event by aliens. I can see a push towards space travel after the fact in part to go look for those evil aliens that abducted all of those humans. The search for resources will also drive space exploration but the problem is this exploration is incredibly expensive and who will be willing to fund it?

I would have hoped that they could make the connection when they realized that everyone that is gone was from the same religion and that the Bible explains exactly what happened but we’re talking about people who increasingly can’t even identify a woman or actually believe socialism is superior to capitalism. If women argue that killing unborn babies is “reproductive health“ then why wouldn’t they believe that aliens abducted all Christians? And just like everything else the solution that will be offered to everyone left will be more government control, more taxes, and less personal freedoms.

Thankfully I won’t be around so they can do whatever they want.

I have wondered if Jesus ruling in the Millennium will allow cars and airplanes, tractors to farm with or will a totally different arrangement be made with man.

I have said in other places that I believe that technology is directly tied to population. As technology increases, population increases. As population increases, technology increases. And vice-versa on the decrease side.

The population of the world during the Millennium will be significantly smaller than the current 8 billion so I assume the technology will be lower.

From a practical standpoint, the people that used to invent, operate and maintain our current technological standard will mostly be gone. I expect the Millennium will start out with a lower technological base and as the population increases, the technology will once again increase.

This is all assuming that Jesus doesn't install His own technological standard.

In either case, the world, at the beginning of the Millennium, is going to look a whole lot different than it does now.

While the population of the Millennium will start off relatively small (5+ million), it'll probably be much larger by the end than we can comprehend now. I've done various calculations playing with different starting groups and growth rates and have a really hard time keeping the end population below 100 billion.

I don't see space travel being possible. Especially not after the Rapture. I was thinking about it. Christians really are everywhere in everything. In law enforcement, medical, military, science, universities, politics, grocery stores, etc... The number of accident related deaths caused by driverless vehicles on the roads and highways, pilotless airplanes falling from the sky, work related accidents because equipment operators are suddenly gone in the middle of operating heavy equipment... the list is extensive. The whole world will be crippled. Everything will come to a screeching hault leaving the door wide open for antichrist to swoop in and save the day.
I think space travel will be the very last thing on people's minds. They'll be too busy trying to clean up, repair, and rebuild.
If we make it to space before the Rapture.... Well.... Revelation describes the heavens rolling like a scroll, stars falling from the sky, the sun going dark, etc (not in that order, but you get it). I don't think astronauts would last long out there post Rapture.

I've always loved astonomy. The universe really does declare the glory of the One who created it. I love learning about the strange planets and stars, and seeing the different nebulae. Our scope of understanding is so small, so limited; it forces me to accept that God really did create it all for His own pleasure because we will never be able to fully know and discover all the wonders on this side of heaven.

I wonder how everything will look during the millennial kingdom, and how God will design the new heavens and new earth.
I wish He would hurry up and get us out of here, I'm getting way too excited thinking about it all.:yay:yeah:yipee

It really is hard to fathom spending eternity in a paradise without the daily worries and cares and troubles we deal with everyday now.

Post rapture i reckon we may be able to do it, but then again the Lord could have us busy doing other stuff that we may not even consider it too LOL

I don't think space travel will be achieved by mortal mankind. After the rapture the AC rises to power and does his beheading campaign that and the chip are his priority. Add to that trying to fix the mess of so many people leaving at once. Look at what COVID did , the supply chains dried up (I still have cases of toilet paper in my basement :lolsign ) And people are still suffering as things try to get back to normal (which we know will never happen) . So hyperinflation, famine and plagues (which is already beginning) is going to massively increase leading up to God's wrath. Tough to plan how to get to Mars when you are wondering how to put food on your plate, or survive the next plague. Then during the millennium I think (no basis other than my own imagination) so much knowledge will be lost that no one will be alive that knows how to master more than the simple stuff. As for the raptured folk I believe we will be able to space travel in our glorified bodies or SCUBA dive without the need for any mechanical aids. But again, no basis for that other than my own imagination and hope. The only scripture I can back that up with is when asked about divorce and marriage in heaven and Jesus replied saying we would be like angels neither marrying or being given in marriage. I have to imagine angels have the ability to go anywhere, I'm sure believers drowning in a sinking ship are comforted by an angel in their last minutes and I doubt they need to strap on a SCUBA tank to do it :). And yes I realize I am stretching:shrug that passage somewhat but it's a possibility. The only thing this simple boy knows is that the sooner we are raptured out of here the better it will be for us but I do pity those left behind , life will not be good for them at all. Even Satan's minions (Soros and his ilk come to mind) are going to have a nice first 3 1/2 years but then they will not escape the wrath of God and we all know what that is about.

I have been watching Season 3 of the Mandalorian. This is based on Star Wars. Luke Skywalker had a robot named R2D2. The Mandalorian has a robot named R4D5.
As I watch this I feel a lot different than I did years ago when I first watched Star Wars. Today it all seems to be fiction. Back then it was all more real.
God may want us to explore Space. And if so he will provide the means to do so.
The Bible is silent about what happens after the Millenium. We may be space explorers in God's ships. We may be like missionaries spreading the Gospel to foreign races.
No human knows what to expect after the Millenium but space exploration just may be on the table.

I could be wrong, but when Jesus appeared to the apostles after He was resurrected, He didn’t seem to be bound by time or by how He got from one place to another. I think it will be like that for us. We can’t imagine what time is going to be like when are in heaven. God is not bound by time (that we can understand) and He sees it all at once. It’s mind blowing to imagine the possibilities, but it will be amazing!

I am still amazed at how I expect to see Jesus face-to-face! And I also think that we won’t be standing in a line to see Jesus…He will be available to each of us, in a personal way, as if we were the most important one to Him. Imagine all the people that will be with us! Now, imagine being so important to our Savior that He has time for each and every one of us, whenever we want Him. I think it will be like that as far as that kind of space travel. I don’t think that He’s been working on our “mansions” all this time. I believe that we will be able to travel to wherever He’s been working on at a moment’s notice. JMHO.

5+million that's a lot, imo at the start of the millennium it'll be as low as 500,000 to 1 million.

I don't post here often, but I read the new threads almost daily. I don't know if we will be able to explore space after the Rapture or not. I personally feel that the last thing on those left behind will be space exploration.

Last month we took a vacation to creation museum and the Ark Encounter. While at the creation museum we watched the planetarium show they have and it was good and eye opening. The ending actually brought tears to my eyes. At the end Psalms 8:3-4 was said. After that I really hope we can explore the space

Psalms 8:3-4
3 When I consider the work of thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained
4 what is man that thou art mindful if him? And the son if man that thou visited him.
