Server Switch

Hello,
I am in the process of having our server and sites migrated to another server and hosting provider.

The new server was ordered and is currently being provisioned. I expect it to be ready tomorrow.

Migration of current data on our server will probably start tomorrow evening. If everything is a go, then I hope we can start transitioning to the new server during the weekend.

We will have to see. I will post updates here as I get them.

I expect there could be a little downtime over the weekend as we switch over.

That's all I know for now.

The server has been setup and is running. However, the site is not active on it.

They are planning to do a migration tonight and if all is good, then a "final sync" sometime after that. I do not have a time frame for tonight. But that won't have any effect here. We will just have to see.

When we get ready to do the final sync I will probably shut down the forums for a few hours while that is done and then change the IP addresses, etc. and hopefully any downtime will be minimal.

The server has been switched and migration done.

However, there is still some issues with needing the ElasticSearch server to be installed on this server. So, search queries done may not work or may not give the best results until this is done.

Please let me know via the questions and comments area if you see technical issues on the forums.

I think for the time being that we have finished most everything that needs to be done on the server migration. There are a few backend issues to take care of, but it looks like we are up and running on the new server. I have been working with the hosting company to resolve the issues that I can see.
