LAS VEGAS — Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) posted a decisive victory in the Nevada caucuses Saturday, cementing his status as the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination by turning out a diverse coalition of voters.

Early returns showed Sanders dominating among young people and Latinos, who make up nearly one-third of the electorate here. The Vermont senator also won several downtown Las Vegas caucus sites, underscoring his strong support among the labor union rank and file who are a powerful force in Nevada politics.

“In Nevada we’ve just put together a multigenerational, multiracial coalition, which is going to not only win in Nevada, it’s going to sweep this country,” Sanders said to an enthusiastic crowd of supporters at a rally in San Antonio.

The Associated Press called the race for Sanders by 8 p.m. ET.

Can someone please explain how a gun-loving State can side with a candidate that would shred the 2nd Amendment in a nano second.

Marxist Bernie scares me more than any other of the Dem candidates.. There are many of the 18 to 25 age voters who either know little about communism or have been brain washed about it in college by their professors. If you use the word "socialism" some think it just has something to do with "social media." Bernie is not a democratic socialist: he is actually a Marxist. As long as there are people who think the US government purpose is to provide for everyone's needs and control everyone's lives and money, then what Sanders is preaching will progressively grow and grow in appeal.
Even if Bernie is nominated he has little or no chance of winning the Pres in Nov. But what abut future elections, four and eight years from now? That's what scares me.

Yes, when I taught high schoolers at a "Christian school", they believed that socialism was more "moral" so I am terrified of the next 8 years and the voters. You can really see the cycle of decline in civilizations. No matter how many people die under corrupt regimes, there will always be those a few generations behind, who think that it sounds like a great idea! :-(

What scares me more than having a communist president supported by the youth of today (in this election or the next), is the fact that our youth are being raised completely void of God.

The schools and universities are winning the spiritual battle for our kids - and it is showing itself in the overwhelming support for a God hating socialist, Marxist, communist party.

I cannot imagine the next generation.

Imperfect but forgiven
Its the no experience millinials generation x and generation y and generation z. All they know is free stuff. They wont understand freedom until they dont have it
People have fled socialist countries to America because of our freedom
I'm thinking the public education received by the younger generations may be most at fault for the ignorance that is being displayed. How did Americans let their public educational system become so anti-American?

Like I said, I was in Nevada a number of times in 2019 for funeral arrangements for my adopted dad, and one thing that stood out big time, to this Californian, was that Nevadians love their guns. If they are so screwy as to vote for one like Burny in Nov., then they deserve to lose them.
I live in the KC area and there is a new large gun store and shooting range right off I 435 near the NASCAR track called "Frontier Justice." I think we are sending a message to Bernie all the government control freaks.

A former FBI agent once said that if something happens in politics, it was engineered to happen. Bernie would have gotten the Democratic nomination last time, had it not been for Hillary working behind the scenes and threatening the old socialist. Perhaps the same thing is happening again. There's every indication that Hillary will be running once more, a repeat of 2016. My, time flies by so fast!
